Aarzu Modern Indian Bistro | BYOB

Have always enjoyed. Only negative would be that we specified on reservation that we wanted the front room, which we prefer. Upon arrival the hostess was leading us to the back room. We had to wait about 30 minutes for the front room, which wasn't terrible but it makes us wonder if they read the notes on the reservation. However, they did thank us for waiting. Once we were seated we enjoyed as always, and service was very good. The Beetroot Tiki (listed under Street Food) was as good as remembered. For the main course we had Shrimp Moilee (very good - coconut basil sauce is delicious) and Paneer Akai (paneer with peppers and onions in a red sauce - a bit spicey but excellent). We were too full to sample the desserts this time around. We usually save some room and have the cheese dumplings that are served over dry ice - nice presentation! Since it had been some time since our last visit we noticed some changes. The menu now includes some classic Indian dishes not previously available. For example, Palak Paneer and Samosas....but there are still some inventive selections. They are always changing the menu and offering new dishes which we like to try. We have read Aarzu may be opening another location in Asbury Park - lucky Asbury...you'll definitely enjoy!!!

Apps and mains were wonderful, Mangalorean Chicken and Lamb Vindoo. Service is always good, very attentive

Such a yummy spot. You'll be stuffed but still eating because the food is too good to stop. Great service, nice ambience and a diverse menu. Loved it.

The food was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the garlic naan bread and hummus. It definitely is a must for appetizers. We ordered three plates; the buttered chicken (yummy), the garlic shrimp and the mushroom entrees. We will definitely go back.

Lately our “go to” Freehold restaurant. Never disappoints. Food and service are always on point. Go and give it a try.

Our waiter was very sweet and helped us decide what to order. The food was very creative and interesting. The food was stunning and it's presentation. The restaurant itself is beautiful with the bronze and teal colors. We had a fabulous Sunday lunch and will definitely return.

I have been coming to Aarzu for years and have never been disappointed. The food is phenomenal, staff is lovely and accommodating, and the ambience is perfect. I have introduced quite a few people to this restaurant and they all love it and want to come back. The price is great and the BYOB aspect is also great. LOVE this place.

the unique creation of the desserts by the chef was impressive and the lamb chops were cooked to perfection with tenderness and the spices..I highly recommend the restaurant for a special occasion

Excellent food. Small but effective menu. It was my son's birthday. He enjoyed every item that was brought to the table. The butter naan and chicken tickka was awesome. Rose kulfi was presented very nicely. Do try the goat cutlets

This was our first time dining at Aarzu, and we had a very lovely meal. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was nice, and the service was fantastic.

Food was excellent. It is pricey, but the service and ambience was great as usual. The menu is small, but what they serve they make very well.

A great father-daughter night out to try a new cuisine for them. We went crazy with appetizers and they loved cauliflower and spinach chips/pico. We ordered different entrees for them to get a taste of everything and everything excellent. The butter chicken was very good, but one of my daughters still thought too much spice...:but for me was much milder than the chicken tikka masala....but all good. Atmosphere would I have been better if Hindi/Indian music.

Every dish we got was absolutely delicious. Had the duck tacos and tandoori shrimp along with beetroot tikki. We had chicken curry for an entrée and shrimp moilee.  Everything was perfect. So good that we got takeout for dinner the next night! 

Amazing food. Modern Indian cuisine. The server made recommendations and was very friendly and prompt. Great outdoor seating options.
