On June 3, 2025 I went to purchase a cake for my Mother's Birthday, got it home she was super excited. Well we placed it into the refrigerator while we attended other birthday celebration throughout the day for my Mother. Well the next day June 4,2025 we let it set too get room tempeture before having some. We finally went to cut it My mother said it was hard even after it was cut she tasted it an sid it was hard. I was very disappointed so I said i will bring it back to the store. I was always taught that when a customer return something to a store the coustomer is always right. Well not in the case of Bruno Bakery I was asked why I was returning it, I gave my reasonI even taken my Mother with me. she explain the reason for the return. Well the lady took the cake to the back claim she tasted it that it was not hard at all a was made with the right ingredients. so basically no matter what our reason was for returning the cake which only one slice missing. I was told I would be given a store CREDIT. Would it really have hurt them to give my back the cash I spent on the cake, then to give me a gift card.

The Italian pastry and Bakery items made by a Master Baker from Italy are amazing. I traveled from Cranford NJ to Freehold NJ to enjoy the wonderful pastries and cookies.

I planned a small wedding ceremony in 3 weeks time and this bakery was so helpful and accommodating. They made the most delicious gluten free wedding cake. As a bride with celiac I wanted to enjoy the wedding cake but didn’t want others to suffer what is typical for gluten free cake (dry, crumbly, over sweet). The cake Bruno’s did was amazing! Guests couldn’t even tell it was gluten free. And they decorated it adorably with toppers I picked out. Thank you for making my wedding desert inclusive and outstanding. Everyone loved it.

When you walk in, the atmosphere is filled with a fragrance of delicious pastries and assorted items since today was St. Joseph's we indulged in St. Joseph's pastry. The ladies were wonderful. Very helpful.

Not only was the cake they made for my daughter's bridal shower beautiful, but every guest remarked about how delicious and fresh it was! High quality, for sure!

Food was meh. I know this is gonna sound nuts but it was TOO sweet. Like they tried to make up for the lack of pastry taste by dumping sugar into it. Really nice people tho.

Been meaning to check out this place since it opened. Finally stopped by today. Adorable inside with a wide array of all things sweet. I ordered the French cream lobster tail and a piece of focaccia. The lobster tail was quite large with perfectly done cream inside. When bitting into it the crunch was music to my ears. The focaccia was very tasty as well. I think it needed a bit of salt but I always love things a little salter anyways. Staff is very sweet and helpful. I will definitely be stopping by again.
