Found the menu to be limiting, portions small, and price a bit high. $6 a taco?? !!

Never got chops and salsa. Had to ask for them after my meal.

Best part was the $4 margaritas.

Food came out cold and rice and beans seem like they're not cooked or stale. The waiter only came by once to take the order and that's it. Didn't ask about the food, then ask if we needed more drinks. Surprised that the service has gotten so bad here. Even the table we're sitting at is tilted and slanted and the chairs are broken. Last time here.

I came here with my lady for a nice dinner out after she heard many great things about this restaurant. The restaurant was very clean but was surprisingly empty for a Sunday night. Unfortunately I don't have much positive things say, the service was very slow & basically felt forgotten about. The drink were watered down probably due to the large amounts of ice. Our food was ok at best but nothing special & nothing remotely meaningful. The drink selection was very limited as well for a place with the name Tequila bar. I was disappointed after hearing this is the place to go to spot.

Parking: Huge parking lot.

When I came here with my family for the first time and saw it was a Mexican restaurant, I was excited to eat here. The server was excellent and friendly and took everyone order perfectly. I ordered the Al pastor Pork tacos excited, but when I received my food my face turned upside down. The tortillas were cold, the pork had no flavor nor taste, and every time I took a bite, my mouth was filled with so much sweetness from the tacos having way too much pineapple. The disappointment I had my face and for this place and having the audacity to say this place is perfecting the art of Mexican cuisine is upsetting. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Went for lunch today. Escondido should stay Escondido. Sadly to say expect better than this. Order happy hour modelo draft n it was flat. Order some empanadas and they were okay. Made with ground beef showered in queso crema and pico de gallo. Wife order some birria tacos and those were a very big disappointment. The birria consome didn't taste nothing like birria consome or soup. I had cilantro lime chicken and boy was that horrible. The chicken was on a bed of old onions n peppers or reheated. Chicken was good to eat with little flavor, rice was made of a box, and on a small plate something that look like it wasn't heated enough very gooey. Atmosphere wasn't Mexican enough. Chair cushions were old n deteriorated.

A nice atmosphere and fun decor when entering. We went for lunch on Christmas eve- Eve and were seated immediately. Free chips and a dual bowl of red and green fresh made salsa was dropped off They were both bursting with great flavor! Ordered the queso fundido, that was just very basic. Probably wouldn’t order that again. Just tasted like melted velveeta. Steak fajitas were pretty good. Meat was a tad overcooked but came with all the basics to make it worth eating - also has the flank steak which was cooked to order and flavorful. Over all the food was good- not exceptional. 1 appetizer 2 entrees and 1 half price margaritas $80. Service was very good waitress got order perfect and was pleasant Not worth planning a trip back but if you are feeling like Mexican food and are in The area it does the trick!
