I had to select "slow service" because there wasn't an option for "poor management." First let me preface this that I understand it was Christmas Day and there would be an exaggerated wait to receive service. My hubs and I are older with adult children out of the home. We could have fixed breakfast ourselves, but genuinely wanted steak tips & eggs and to bless our server generously. We arrive at the Yorktown, VA location around 10am. We check-in and are told it's a 30 minute wait, we put our name on the list since there was only 4 or 5 parties ahead of us. After waiting an hour and a half, other patrons began arriving. Pretty soon the lobby was full to capacity and a family who had been waiting 2 hours announces to everyone that they are prioritizing the 40plus to-go orders coming in over the guests currently waiting in person and it would be another hour! We left highly disappointed in how that situation was handled by management.
I ordered $40 worth of food on the app and got screwed out of it. after waiting in the restaurant for an hour for my food to be ready, I had to chase a manager down just to be told, in the most rude way possible, that my order never showed up on her screen and there was nothing she could do. So I paid for something, and two hours later walked away empty handed. On Christmas day no less. I will absolutely never go back...
I went to the IHOP on University Ave. in Orlando on Christmas. They forgot my order and I waited over an hour for them to make it. The GM came out and said that they wouldn't discount it. I said that I think that I should get this for free and he said that I could think all I want. Very rude! Thanks for nothing.
Go to this IHOP if you want to be completely ignored and not given a table!

I want to give 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍Grand Prairie Texas location on Carrier Pkwy … first off all Servers …. Food and Cleaning every at the best …. All the time it’s full but it’s worth the waiting thanks Caroline,Luis and most of the Servers in this Location you’re the best 💜✝️💜
we were there last night (Friday 10th) waiting a very long time to place our order .When it can time to pay we received a different receipt, was told they mixed up tickets and a table got our and we got theirs.We were told oh, you go the better deal on the amount on ticket.how do you mix up tickets and then tell me I received the ticket that was cheaper.doubt that as I'm sure the other table of 6 which had drinks where we didn't. was more than our table of 5 not a happy customer
we went at 1 in the morning and placed our order. we didn’t get our food till 2 and with that only half our order came out we got no drinks missing our sides. by the time we had finished our food the other half still had not been brought out and still hadn’t received our drinks. there was just 2 people working wouldn’t come back

Not all drinks on the menu include "free refills" despite what the menu says. I was surprised that the Lemonade Iced Tea does not offer free refills (the menu says explicitly it does). My waiter, who had proudly stated he had been there several years, was "kind enough" to take the charge off. How many people didn't notice that extra charge on their bill? Very disappointed with the dishonesty at iHop.

The food and the place is great. Unfortunately tho. What isn’t great is that this wouldn’t let me rate it for a zero star. And that’s because of the waitress we had. Rude, not polite and didn’t even checked up on us at all after having our food served. I understand that it was very busy for Sunday morning but honestly, she could’ve checked in on us and gave us a check. Clearly, looks like she doesn’t care at all. My girlfriend and I had to go to work but because of waitress, we’re not coming back to eat there again I miss the other waitress that was such a sweetheart to us. She cared and above all, she knew what she was doing. I even gave more than 20 dollar tip when we come. What a waste of breath. Edit: The waitress that we adore is brie (I think that’s how you spell it). She was the reason why we came over every mondays for our food and to have a conversation with her and WE REALLY love her company. She did the right thing of leaving there. As we will too

We placed our order for drinks and waited 20 mins. to get a pot of coffee and hot water. Another server came over and asked if she can help us. The other waitress then when to get us a pot of coffee and hot water. I called the manager over and he said that the waitress forgot us. It would have been nice if the manager or waitress would have said they are sorry. When we received the bill the feedback section was cut off and no name of the server. If I could I would give them a Zero for service.
IHOP has still not reached out to me. 8/30/25
I did e-mail there web browser (on 9-4-25) and someone did call me form head quarters and siad they would get back to me. As of 9-9-25 no answer,

Not the best IHOP I've been to, but I came hungry and left happy, so that was all I really needed at the time.
