I was trying to order a cake for my friend's birthday which is this Sunday. I first want to a bakery closer to my house, when you order a cake from them la Dolce makes the cake for them. I picked out a cake I liked and asked if they can make it on a 12inch square cake was told 120. I then decided to call la Dolce to order the cake. Was told they might be able to do the cake in a 10 inch round was told they can do it for the price of $60 was told to call back the next day between the hours of 9 to 12 because the woman that does the cakes wasn't there but will be the next day. So I called the next day at 9 was told to call back at 10 because she was the only one in the store and there was a line of customers out the door. Called back at 10 where she then told me 65 to do the 10 inch round and then told me the final price would be almost $90. She then told me that she didn't have the time to talk to me about other options or even take my order because it was st Joseph. Why tell me to call back the next day when you had to know that the following day was going to be busy.

This place is the best bakery in all of freehold, Awesome bread..the best around. Cookies, pastry, cakes, apple turnovers delicious. I can’t believe this place doesn’t have a line waiting to get in. This place reminds me of when I was a kid growing up in Brooklyn. To all you Italian people out here best place around. You must try ! Great service, and the women behind the counter are delightful.

All I can say is “DELISH”. Brought pastries and cookies to a friend’s party and what a hit!! Don’t even get me started on how good the bread is! Will definitely be a repeat customer for sure!!

Ordered a custom cake from La Dolce Bakety in Freehold and delivered everything asked for on my end to them before the event. The owner, Elaine, said they would make a Happy Birthday sign out of a cookie to top the cake and come day of the event, I get to the restaurant at 6pm where they delivered it an no cookie, no “Happy Birthday” writing, nada. The cake was blank and I had a room full of 40 people just looking at me. Called the bakery and even spoke to the owner telling them they had until maybe 8:30pm to make this right (come up with a sign, bring a piping bag and write “happy birthday” on the top or something). She said she would call me back, but never did. Not even the next day to apologize or offer a store credit or partial refund…as if it never happened. And on top of it, the guest of honor hated their raspberry buttercream filling, but it’s the service (or lack there of that I would like to focus this review on). Poor decisions and choices on their part in my honest opinion. I would not recommend or use them again. Best of luck to them, but I’ll try somewhere else instead.

Ordered 3 custom cakes with photos, they were absolutely delicious and looked amazing. I recommend asking for extra filling, it really takes the cake up a notch.They are on point with recommending flavors. I usually don't eat frosting on cakes, but I definitely enjoyed this one completely.I can't wait for another occasion to order a cake.
Not expensive but also not good.The Napoleon was terrible. The pastry was dry and had no taste. The filling between the layers was also tasteless. The icingwas was hardly there.The eclairs were small. The custard filling was OK, the icing was tasteless.I did not have the cookies or cakes.Everything I had was disappointing.

Italian bakeries are my go to and this one is definitely one of the best! All of the pastries look so fresh and they taste so good! I’m usually not a fan of bakery cookies but the ones from here are amazing, on top of the huge variety of pastries they serve! The people at the counter were so friendly and made the experience worth it! Definitely try their rainbow cookies and their cannolis for sure!! I will be back!

Ordered a vanilla cupcake with white vanilla frosting and some cookies. I'm on a cupcake kick... trying all of the local cupcakes so you don't have to. The icing was thick, like, thick like tofu. The cupcake was definitely not box made but was very plain. Bonus points for the cupcake being chilled. 3.5 on the cupcake. The cookies, which were almond based, were just very plain. Overall the prices were good for the area and the workers were nice, though slow. I'd come again if I'm in the area but wouldn't make an extra trip.

My only regret with this place, is I did not buy more baked goods! I asked if one of the cookies were soft, so the lovely nice lady gave me a free sample. The customer service 10/10. The flavor of the goodies 10/10. The amount of cakes/cookies is just phenomenal! I will definitely be back! Thank you for being so kind to me when we arrived in your store! I would post pictures of what’s inside. But I think that isn’t fair to the customers. I want them to be in shock and surprised when they walk in as well like I did. EXTREMELY FAIR PRICED!!!
