Kerry is a fabulous server. She's attentive , friendly and knows the menu well. Our meals were delicious. His crabmeat pinwheels were fresh and well seasoned. My chicken breast and rice was equally fresh and served hot. Our drinks were perfectly prepared and quite delicious! We eat at metropolitan frequently and always ask for Kerry.

Lunch time. Had delicious soup, but restaurant was cold in between blasts of noisy heat working. Service was fine.

Had a birthday lunch here with family including two elderly people. We attempted to leave through the handicap door, to reduce the amount of walking for them but we were stopped and told that “if we opened the door it would be too cold for the other tables” even though there was no one else in that side of the restaurant. We were also mistakenly overcharged by $50 with no line item. Despite only three tables eating in the entire restaurant there was slow service with inaccurate pricing and rude staff.

Our waiter Josh was exceptional. Charming, knowledgeable and flawless. We were in a hurry and he helped choose my entrée, organic grilled chicken which was delicious! Mom's burger was perfect and they make the best fries ever! Drinks were perfect. Got out in plenty of time for our show. Great experience as always! Thanks Josh!

I had a wonderful experience at the Metropolitan Café in Freehold, NJ. Our waitress, Terry, provided outstanding service — she was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The food was delicious, and everything was served promptly. I highly recommend both the restaurant and Terry to anyone looking for a great dining experience. Thank you, Terry, for making our visit so memorable!

One of our favorite restaurants. Food was amazing, service was great, and made a reservation one day in advance. Prices have definitely increased over the past year but serving sizes are large.

First time here, Dinner options were good, mocktail options were also good. That said the experience was soured by our server. Not sure if it was something we did or maybe they were just not having a good night. Felt rushed, and we weren't asked if we were finished or wanted to leave before our meals were serviced. Someone's food wasnt finished and wanted to take it home and we had to stop the server and ask for a container. Then we weren't offered a bag. If these seem like small complaints, it was noticeable. Hopefully it was just an off night

Service was mediocre at best. Waitress got our cocktail order wrong. She did give me the wine list after I asked for it but then grabbed it on the way by and didn't ask if I wanted to order a bottle so we decided not too. I ordered the ribeye special, choice cut 👎🏽that was dry as my napkin only ate 2 bites. My wife ordered sushi that was very fishy. Food was not good!! And service was just enough to get by. I'm assuming no management was on. We did want to order more cocktails but the waitress was too busy texting on her phone in the corner. We finally just asked for the check . This was our third time but will not be going back . On a good note we stopped at Krispy pizza on the way home 😂

Everything from the food, drinks and service were excellent. One of the best Old Fashioned cocktails I've had in awhile, and the Tuna Nachos were delicious. Our waitress Amelia was very attentive and personable. Overall, a great experience and we will definitely return.

This review is for our dinner on October 8, which restaurant cancelled after we ate and left - I assume to prevent us from leaving a bad review. So here is the review anyway. Food was expensive and very mediocre and service incredibly slow, inattentive and disrespectful. We left a $10 tip and a note that small tip was for very bad service. When we left, a manager call me on my cell and was very annoyed with us about the note. She kept insisting that we did not handle our visit correctly, since we should have let them know during our dinner how to make it better. Even though we did ask for every part of service by going inside and asking for our waitress, as we were completely neglected on the outside porch. After the phone conversation, the manager cancelled our completed reservation. I now think that the problem is more with bad management which tricked down on the rest of the staff. They did charge our card, so I guess we did eat there and the reservation was not REALLY cancelled. LOL

We had a great meal sitting outside on the patio, listening to the jazz music. Our bus boy was wonderful and extremely attentive and visible, always making sure our water glasses were full and there was never a dirty plate in front of us. I felt our waitress was disinterested and rushed us without any input on the menu. She was very unfriendly and that's the only negative feedback I have, because the rest of our meal was absolutely delicious and if we weren't so full, we certainly would have enjoyed dessert.
