My sister had chose this place for lunch when we were visiting the Springsteen exhibit nearby. After reading the reviews, I was a bit skeptical because it got such bad reviews. Boy am I glad I didn't change my mind due to them. This place was great! Service was immediate and fantastic! Food was fresh and delicious! Where can you get a full serving of sushi at 50% off and actually have it fresh snd tasty? HERE! The lunch specials are so reasonable for the portion size. May I add, yummo too!?! My only complaint was that I felt the hibachi sauce was a bit too salty for me, however, I'm very sensitive to salt taste. I will definitely return and I have already recommended to friends and family!

Sushi is listed as 50% price on the menu to intentionally misdirect. All sushi is the price it says on the menu and does not have any real discount. A 7.50 roll will be 7.50 with no discount (which means it would be 15$ a roll if there was no "deal"). This was never mentioned by the waitress and there was no indication on the menu that the price was already "discounted". Additionally the waitress spilled sauce on me and stained my shorts. Food was decent but not worth nearly 7.50 a roll. Do not be fooled !

They have the best sushi in Freehold. Always great quality and the pricing is sooo affordable. We dine in a lot, but also they do great take out and always pack everything with care. The hibachi is awesome too. You really can't go wrong here. BYOB!

Started going to this place years ago and enjoyed it for many years. But recently the quality of the food has dropped and there portion sizes leave much to be desired. For example the sesame chicken comes with a very tiny order of rice compared to other places in the area and the flavor of the chicken is bland.we ordered both sesame chicken and general tsos and there is basically no difference in taste. They Will not be getting anymore of my business anytime soon and I am disappointed in the place this has become.

Love this place! We have been coming here for years and it is just by far the best Japanese restaurant on the surrounding area. Prices for the quality of food are unbeatable.
All this for $20? LOVE this place. Went here recently with 4 kids and 3 other adults. They got hibachi, I got sushi. Can't beat half price makis! And the regular prices aren't exorbitant to begin with, so it's even better! Now, you would think at this price point that they're going to load up on the rice and get chintzy on the fish, but that is entirely not the case! Also, everything was very fresh and tasty! The hibachi was 30% off as well, and came with soup or salad, vegetables, rice, noodles, and shrimp appetizer! So for something like salmon, it was only $14! Now if they can just hook up with Uber Eats, I'll be all set!

We’ve been here a few times and the food is always very good and reasonably priced compared to other hibachi steak houses... The atmosphere is not as quiet as some other hibachis because it’s a smaller establishment and you’re closer to the other tables but the service is very good… There are so many good small restaurants in downtown Freehold Boro and we are always happy to support them, including Oyako Tso’s.

Used to be my favorite place. Now they have new owners and nickel and dime the experience. Went last night and instead of getting soup and salad, you have to choose between soup or salad and at the end, you don't get ice cream. What kind of hibachi place skips out on the ice cream?! Sad when new owners start off on the wrong foot.
