Frustrating morning at Perkins today. They used to have great customer service. Little by little things have changed. From no more veterans discounts to no use of coupons. I get that considering the economic situation these days. Service is much slower. Maybe due to difficulties in getting people to work these days. I have a quirk that all of the local restaurants have accepted. I like my morning coffee in a paper cup. I hate styrofoam cups for coffee and I don't like mugs. I often bring my own paper cup if I know they don't use any at the restaurant including Perkins. This morning they asked me to throw my cup away or I'd have to leave. The cup was empty. I didn't bring any outside coffee. Everytime I tried to explain that I've done this many times before and I'm gonna pay for the coffee the hostess continued to tell me that outside cups were not allowed. When I asked her why, her reply was that they have a sign that says no outside containers. There was no changing her mind. She told me that I had to toss the cup or I wasn't allowed to stay. After probably 15 years of patronizing this establishment they couldn't give me a simple break. More than the fact that I couldn't use my paper cup my bigger concern was how the hostess treated me and refused to listen to my point of view. As of right now, I have no reason to go back. Their prices have skyrocketed. They no longer give veteran or senior discounts. And I was treated as if I were violating some law when actually it was a self imposed rule that there didn't seem to be any real purpose for. We ate at the Park Nine diner across the street for a lot cheaper and allowed to use my veterans discount. By the way the food was great.

Okay food 3/5 service though wasn't very good 2/5 . Lots of delays and small items were forgotten but the main downfall was when all of our meals were received but 1. They had said 1 moment. Well it was 8 minutes later and we're almost already done, finally arrived and the cheese was unmelted with cold hash browns. Full price paid as well and with a restaurant screw up the customer should not be punished with 1/2 way service.

When ordering door dash from anywhere you can't really expect perfection. Well here we are, with a perfect fluffy we'll made omelet. The omelet wasn't skimpy, they definitely loaded it up with cheese and a nice amount of onions. The hash is crispy and soft. We ordered pancakes as well that were excellent with a side of sausage that was cooked to perfection. Haven't stopped in but sure will like to soon! Thank you for a wonderful breakfast

I’ve been going here for years, the food is always delicious and comes out fast, and the service is always great from the servers. Great environment

I don't like franchises because quality is then lowered. And my nieces purchased pies for Thanksgiving holiday and they were horrible. Like I said mass produced and horrible.

Ordered corned beef hash with eggs over easy and hash browns. Side of pancakes. Hash browns and eggs were fine-but nothing special. The corned beef hash was the worst I've ever had at a diner. I can understand it not being fresh made like some places- and I quite enjoy standard canned hash... But this stuff was grey and tasted poorly. My best guess is they added milk to it when they cooked it or something else foul. Pancakes were average, maybe slightly above. Coffee was below average.Waitress was below average. Very inattentive despite there being hardly anyone there on a Friday morning. Apparently they don't have herbal tea either.I wont be returning unfortunately. Came here with high hopes. Numerous better diners in the area for equal or lower prices.

Not very good unfortunately. Better in Central jersey.

Love the chocolate milk shakes! Especially the metal cup with the shake that wouldn’t fit into the glass cup! Nice server, very attentive!
