This is such a wonderful place to eat in downtown Freehold, NJ. The breakfast meals are fantastic. They have specials and also a wonderful menu of many options. The quality of the food is excellent. The staff is super friendly, and the service is fantastic. It's such a cute little cafe and we love supporting this small business in downtown!

Great local place for good & affordable breakfast/brunch. We arrived before 9 AM and it was almost full! We luckily got a table for 2 near the door while another group of 6 or 8 waited for their table. Waiters were efficient and brought out our food quickly. We ordered the Uptowner and Downtowner breakfast platters and had A LOT of food! The bacon was crispy and the sausage was nicely seasoned. I really enjoyed my home-fries while my son finished his pancakes. Our eggs were great - over-easy for me and scrambled for him. I highly recommend this restaurant for its food, price & service and plan to go again next time I visit Freehold.

We decided to give this place a try. We were immediately seated after checking in. Daughter ordered Eggs Bandito from the Perfectly Poached section. It's poached eggs on grilled buttermilk biscuit with chorizo sausage and sliced avocado, topped with Hollandaise sauce. It also comes along with a side of home fries. She likes to try different versions of Egg Benedict whenever she can. She loved everything about this entree. She's a fan of chorizo and nothing can go wrong with the order when there's chorizo in it. LOL. Hubs ordered Breakfast Combo Specials #9, which is the West Coast Frittata. It is omelette-style, open faed with sautéed spinach and roasted red peppers with sliced avocado and a three-blend cheese. It's served with a buttered English muffin and home fries. He liked it a lot and was happy to see there were different versions of frittata being served. Lastly, I had the short stack blueberry pancakes. It's 2 pancakes with blueberry infused inside the pancakes. I loved my pancakes. They were nice and fluffy and full of blueberries. I'm very happy that we got to try this place. Service was friendly and quick. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu!

Atmosphere: was ok, it's a place to eat. Nothing bad, nothing memorable. Service: Excellent! Place had a wait, but soon as a table cleared, they cleaned and had me seated and served very quickly. Food: ok. My Benedict poached eggs where just a little too poached with no yolk flowing. The biscuit was the thinest I've ever seen. The flavor was ok. The coffee was like flavored water. So, I didn't leave hungry, but will venture further down the street next time.

Emi our waitress is absolutely adorable. Helpful and knowledgeable. Prices are good. Selection vast. Specials special. Ambiance is very nice. Lots of local nostalgia. Clean. Only breakfast served on weekends. Fried are amazing. No ketchup needed. Plus mushrooms = BONUS! Bread perfectly toasted. Pancakes are very good. Busy. Must be good. The food is delish. A 5 star all the way. Bringing half the cheesesteak home for tomorrow. Fries gone!!
Such a cute place. I got the special of mascarpone French toast which was to die for and bacon cooked perfectly. Other got pork roll, egg, and cheese and pancakes. All were raving about it. Staff was very friendly and fast with orders. Only thing is it’s cash only.

We always have wonderful breakfast / brunches at Sweet Lews! I have been coming here for the past 12 years and everyone is still just as friendly as they were 12 years ago, the food is very good and the atmosphere is very cozy and homey. I love the different breakfast specials they offer but ultimately love their omelettes. Their fresh brewed tea is refreshing. My friend loves their Texas toast and home fries!
