It was a horrible experience 1) couldn't find our reservation then gave poor choice of tables either curb with car exhaust or close to the band 2) band was so loud my wife and I couldn't talk 3) service slow 40 minutes between siting down and get appetizer 4) food was mediocre. Stuff shrimps overcooked For a ny Steak tough In fairness the manager gave us a 25% discount but at that stage the whole experience was so bad that we called the night. They really to rethink customer experience versus trying to entertain

Always a nice time. Heading back tomorrow with a larger group for some excellent food. Also good for outside dining.

Celebrated our son's birthday and had a great night. Service was impeccable and food was delicious. Definitely will go back for another dinner and or happy hour at the bar.

Sadly our food wasn't up to par .. we ordered the scallops and they were few and very tough and chewy .. totally turned off

The food was delicious, and our waitress was a doll. We weren't the easiest group to deal with. The entertainers were talented but way too loud. Turn the mike down, please. I will definitely be back.

We celebrated our sons high school graduation with family dinner. It was delicious as always. The portions are big, food is fresh, and quality and presentation are impressive. We love how the manager,Ryan, is so friendly and accommodating and checks in on all the guests. The bathrooms are super clean. Drinks from the bar are excellent too. Never a bad meal or bad experience at the American Hotel!

We had a good experience celebrating 50 years of friendship with very good Lobster Mac and cheese and pretty good shrimp and grits (too sweet for my taste). The service was slow and the server was not at all working to help us celebrate so it could have been more festive if the server had tried.

The servings were large and the food quality was quite good. We will come back for sure. Our server was knew and made a few mistakes but you could see that she was really trying. These slip uos detracted a bit from the evening but everyone has to learn.

Went to The Standard for Father's Day Dinner. Took my two grandchildren ages 2 and 6. The waiter I believe his name was Moe. He was so attentive to my grandkids and brought their food out promptly. I was a little hesitant in going out on a holiday with them but it went perfect. We started with onion soup which was amazing and I had the crab cakes that were delicious. My husband and son-in-law had the prime rib and loved it. My daughter had the meatloaf and loved it too. The whole meal was a complete success.

There was music that was too loud to comfortably converse at the table. But we still had a good time.

Service is impeccable, food exceptional. Shrimp and grits was so flavorful, seasoned perfectly. Filet Mignon cooked as ordered, shrimp with crab was a standout. Calamari as a starter was a perfect portion size for two to share - very tender and the peppers had the right amount of zing!

Overall good meal Nothing special but meet expectations Good go to place for everyday dining

The food was very good. Half price bottle wine on Wed was a plus. We got the Oysters on the half shell, which were delish. The prime rib was great, and the baked apple pie for 2 was noteworthy.

We have dined at The Standard several times over the past few months. The service we received from Mo and other staff members is excellent. Ryan, the manager always checks in with the tables to make sure everything is good. The quality of food and the presentation are top notch. Great place for couples or families. Highly recommended The Standard. Lynda and Jon Madnick

Opentable Diner

Service and food was terrific! Moe was delightful and on task! Guitar player was too too loud which made it very difficult to have conversation with the one other couple we were sitting with. We were nearly screaming with them to have conversation! He was screaming into his mic and it was awful!!! Never again! Had to pay for parking too!! Crazy!!!
