I was at the cabin last night with my better half. First time I. Many yrs because I live hrs away in PA now First off , we were greeted by the nicest people and sat immediately Drinks within 3 mins, the waitress was very nice and went as far as to go find me an older t shirt that I could buy because I liked the design better The food, we ordered some kinda of tater tots with barbecue on them as an appetizer, out of this world delicious and pretty fast as well I went with a black and blue burger cooked perfectly to my liking and my other half had a chicken something sandwich. She loved it. Just wanted to say thank you for the great food and experience looking forward to our next visit

So done with this place. Good bands but lousy food. Places should reset their reviews when they get bought. This is truly downhill. The pizza, used to be the best bar pie. Now the worst. I ordered a crab apetizer - I got 4 small bread balls. Don't go here. Its horrible.

Outstanding barbecue! I had ribs and brisket and they were delicious! Two HUGE bars and live music on the weekends.

Was hoping for a decent meal. Fried chicken was over fried very dry almost like old oil brisket was barely warm at best ribs barely warm at best and to charge 36 for that wasnt worth it not to mention the beans were bland and the collard greens were terrible and cold you could do better. Appetizer was not hot either not sure what's going on. Wasn't impressed for a place trying to do bbq 2nd time there 2nd time not happy.

DELICIOUS! We had dinner at The Cabin to celebrate my MIL's 73rd birthday and the food was spot on. The waitress was so sweet and friendly. We really enjoyed our special dinner. Looking forward to coming back.

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! Parking was a breeze, the cabin-like layout was so cozy, and the service was amazing. The food was incredible – the brisket platter was HUGE! Definitely recommend if you're in Freehold, Colts Neck, or nearby. 😋🚗🏡🍽️ #Restaurant #Food #Brisket #Parking #Service #Freehold #

We live in the area for more than a few years. We went there on a few occasions before but we stop going there because of food. Based on our recent visit, the food went down the hill even more. Had cuban. The bun was so dense that it was like eating a cookie dough. Shrimp basket for $23 was small. The french fries were old and soggy. The coleslaw was sour. If you want to go for drinks, the bartenders are great but even beer is pricy during happy hour. There are other bars in the area that sell $3 beers. The place tends to be busy on weekends but the food needs more improvement. Simply disappointing and I really want to love that place.

I wish there were an option to leave zero stars instead of one. Our experience at this restaurant was completely unacceptable, largely due to our server, Renee. From the start, she displayed an unprofessional attitude, complaining openly about her wages and even making inappropriate comments about the tip. It is not the customer’s responsibility to hear grievances about employment conditions, especially in a setting where service is expected to be professional and courteous.

To make matters worse, the food quality was appalling. My fiancé was served undercooked chicken, which is a major health hazard, and I was not even offered water during my time there. When it came time to tip, despite leaving a generous $30 on a $100 bill, Renee questioned our decision, which was both rude and uncalled for.

This was my first visit here, and unfortunately, it will also be my last. I highly recommend management take a serious look at their staff and food quality because this level of service is unacceptable for any restaurant.

Place has a cool cabin setting with home in the woods feeling. We came with 6 people and expected a better experience from what we’ve been told that it’s a great place to go. The service was less than stellar. We ordered a few apps with no plates give to share around our table from the waitress or food runner. We just had to pick across the table which was inconvenient. No refill on drinks that were all empty before the dinners showed up. The loaded tots were decent and the pulled pork that was on it was good.

The loaded potato soup was terrible, no taste and brown like gravy. Never seen a potato soup that color before. Waitress did ask if we didn’t like it, and told her it was horrible. She just said sorry and walked away. Dinners were equally as bad. Ordered a couple turkey gobblers that were barely a meal. Smothered in gravy that you could barely taste the smoked flavor of the turkey but helped the flavorless stuffing. Came out without the cranberry sauce, that we had to ask for. Cobb salad wasn’t good either. The cucumbers were old and mushy, chicken rubbery and the eggs being brown. Barely ate 1/4 of the salad. Lastly the meatloaf, tasted like a meatball and extremely salty. Nothing like meatloaf! The mashed potatoes were decent, but ate two bites out of the dish and left it.

Waitress never checked back and when we handed her the plates which were all full of food except one turkey plate that was 3/4 eaten. We mentioned the meals were terrible. She just asked if we wanted dessert, which we declined and gave us the check. Paid and left. No manager in site to share our experience. Terrible experience, won’t be back unfortunately because the place has great potential with the atmosphere.
