The atmosphere in this cafe is eclectic and comforting, like going back to my childhood and visiting relatives! I was there with a group of friends, and everyone loved their sandwiches. I can say that my BLT was the best I've had in years...if not decades. It's a great place to relax over coffee after the meal, before browsing the the lovely surroundings and the crafty store (The Barn). I'm definitely going back.

So cute! Food was delicious! Everything homemade. Egg salad and potato salad so tasty Chicken salad was also delicious.Dietary restrictions: I ate the egg salad on romaine. So good!
This was my first visit here, and it will not be the last. My daughter-in-law suggested meeting here, and I'm so glad we did. This is such a beautiful hidden gem, and there's not one negative thing to say. I had the best roasted veggie sandwich that I've ever had in my 53 years on this planet, and I'm already looking forward to my next one!After you're finished eating, you can walk around the beautiful grounds or go browsing through the shop where you'll find some very unique and lovely gifts for people you love... including yourself ?

This is my favorite place in the whole world. Food is always delicious, the atmosphere is beautiful and I love swinging by the gift shop after my meal. They have the best deserts and iced coffee too! :)Vegetarian options: I’m a vegetarian and while there aren’t many vegetarian targeted options there is always something for me (egg salad, veggie burger, avocado toast etc) and the veggies always taste fresh and delicious!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER !!!I come from far to enjoy the Calgo Garden and be able to have something to eat. at the TULIP TREE CAFE.Before I plan a long trip I called the TULIP TREE CAFE to make sure the eatery was open and it did say it was. I get there and to my surprise it was not I called the number and spoke directly to the owner and she said she apologized for confusion and would offer a discount the next time I came.Well today I decided to take a ride to purchase some plants and grab a bite. It was 2:40pm and the TULIP TREE CAFE didnt close until 3pm. I was told by the owner the kitchen was closed. I decided to than just order something to drink however I mentioned that I had encountered the issue of her schedule that was never accurate sine I was there before.The owner was not once apologetic ,refused to accept she was wrong, and instead argued providing multiple excuses.Wow a "I AM SORRY " would have gone a long way to make you come back. Believe me there are other places close much better food, BUT MORE IMPORTANT THEY MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE A VALUED CUSTOMER !!!! Take a ride to CALGO GARDENS BUT AVOID TULIP TREE ALL TOGETHER !! HORRIBLE

When I read reviews and see unhinged cry babies try and tear a business down because staff didn't throw themselves on the ground in complete adoration of their customers.... nothing is more annoying than the owner enabling this behavior by apologizing and "addressing thier staff" to improve for their future business!!!I patronized this place because the owner stands up for the business & employees and claps back at these nutjobs!!! Please, if I ever go in your place with a disrespectful attitude... set me straight so I stay a grounded and decent human being!!!

I went to lunch with my friend. The cafe was very busy. The server told us not to take a big table so we took a two seater. She never greeted us, gave us menus, or did she ever say she will be right with us. We waited 15 minutes, we were on a time constraint and we had to leave. When we got up we told her we had to go, she was very rude and never apologized for the delay. I have eaten there before and the food is very good. It’s not worth going back. The service was terrible.

We had such a nice time at Easter Brunch with a small room off to the side (just perfect for the 6 of us, coming from different directions) with views of the grounds. Service was great and everyone was exceptionally pleased with the food! Choice of breakfast or lunch was offered and real standouts were the carrot and parsnip soup and the butternut squash lasagna side to the lunch entree! Coffee was delicious too, and we brought champagne. The grounds and artisan shop are just beautiful and we roamed afterwards. Thank you, Tulip Tree!

What an amazing place! We gathered for a girls luncheon and it was fabulous, start to finish! The staff was exceptional and accommodating. Our food so so delicious and well done. The garden area where we ate outside was relaxing and picturesque. Can’t wait to go back! Ps the watermelon lemonade was to die for!!! Thanks so much!!
