Stopped in last minute for dinner, and this place is so quaint. It must either be the manager or owner? Regardless, he is so pleasant and kind. The cocktails were delicious and the cheesecake dessert was pretty good! Overall- good for a bite to eat and delicious cocktails.

We had a wonderful lunch here today and I was able to have the duck BLT which was absolutely amazing. The other food choices on the menu were plentiful, with great options. The figgy palm cocktail was a winner. The staff was excellent, the atmosphere was fantastic and I would highly recommend this location to anybody who is in the area.

Nice historic inn with great flavor! Opened the place and was welcomed. History on the walls in bar is worth the read. Had French Quarter gumbo, flavored great and substantial portion. Also had shrimp and grits...prefaced with I lived in Charleston, SC for 20 years, it was wonderful! My girl had a Mediterranean plate and enjoyed it thoroughly. Grateful for finding this wonderful place on the river in NJ. Service was attentive without being intrusive. GO! Cant wait to visit basement bar when covid is less prevalent.

We toys drive in the EV on a beautiful day. Decided to check this place out. Loved being the only other party of 2 in the bar area and a few more came in about the time we left. Great chef here good diverse menu. I had duck blt and house salad which is not the same old cucumber and tomato on greens the dill vinaigrette was very nice. Hubby had the pork medallions which were a huge serving which could serve 3 easily- perfect. Try the apple walnut crumb tart afterwards-small but just right

Visited the area with my boyfriend for a nice weekend getaway and found this restaurant online. We looked over the menu, which we thought offered a variety of different options. We ordered 6 oysters to start and they were lukewarm and disfigured. One of them hadn't been shucked so my boyfriend used his butter knife to detach it from the shell. We also ordered the "butterfly chips" which the menu claimed to be vegan but I can say with about 80% certainty that the sauce it came with was not vegan. It didn't help that these chips felt like store-bought potato chips that were served on a plate for a price of $8.For our entrees, I got the Egyptian falafel sandwich and my boyfriend got the fish tacos. The plate for the falafel sandwich was warm and the hummus on it had crusted over, making me believe that the kitchen had heated it up in the microwave after it had been left out for too long. The falafel itself was unlike any falafel I'd ever had prior and more resembled a potato pancake with little to no seasoning. The fish tacos were average. We both agreed that the fries the dishes came with were the best things that we ate.Aside from the food, our server was very nice. I wish they would've been more attentive, but I can understand how it must be difficult to wait on tables with outdoor seating both behind and in front of the restaurant.Overall, I feel like we wasted our money at this restaurant and hope that people read this review and don't make the same mistake we did.

You should enjoy fish to eat here. Food was good. Service was timely, but pulling dirty plates from the tables is not their forte.
