Al’s is a Garwood staple with the best breakfast sandwiches and subs in the area. Anytime we get catering, people always compliment the food and ask where we ordered from. It takes a lot for a family owned business to stick around as long as Al’s. With great service and high quality, it is no wonder that this place continues to thrive as a classic local spot!

I love this place my favorite is the Al’s Italian. It’s amazing. I just don’t get why they don’t subscribe to any online food services like DoorDash or Uber eats or higher end Wonder app. if I could order online working from home I would get it more often but I don’t know why they don’t move into the 20th century and digital age. If there is some reason I would love to know
Parking: There’s only a couple spaces right out front. It can get pretty busy at lunchtime, but you can always park in the lot of the mini mall and the train station as well if you’re just running in real quick.

Only been to Al’s once before and it had been a while. Was greeted by super friendly staff offering recommendations on what to get (we may have looked like deer in headlights with so many choices on the boards). I ordered hot pastrami on rye. OMG SO MOIST AND DELICIOUS!!!!! Will be going back.
The sandwiches are very fresh and staff is super friendly. Been going here for about a year now and I’m never disappointed. I ordered the grilled club sub but asked for breaded chicken instead. The bacon had a perfect crisp and the lettuce and tomato were fresh. This is one of my favorites.

Cheesesteaks were amazing! Also got one of their pressed Chicken Club sandwhiches. Huge portions.....a super friendly and polite staff....which is a rarity these days. The folks behind the counter made you feel like a regular...and this was my first time there. I will be back. And you should go....you won't be dissapointed.
