I always get the special pizza and I love them. I’m not big fan of pizza but this is the only place that I found and makes different flavors. People are nice and fair price as well. Also they do vodka sauce incredible good!

They did not see my online order, told me it was being worked on after I called to alert them the app said Confirming order after 15 min, then they canceled the order after another 5 min. This is the second time Benvenuti has just canceled me.

Update: I did receive the pizza in spite of the cancellation. Pizza was good but I can’t trust I will get it when ordered online.

Pizza galore. The Pear salad is worth driving from NY or PA for that matter. Calzones are magnificent.

An absolute gem of a local spot! So lucky to have Benvenutti so close by. Truly family run by a family who lives in the community.
Great sandwiches, pastas and all the standards.
Amazing catering too! Great holiday specialties. They take pride in their food and it shows.

TL;DR: This isn’t meant to be harsh—just honest feedback in hopes of encouraging a more respectful approach to customer service moving forward. The food I received (a stromboli from Benvenuti in Garwood) was burnt, and while I accepted a 50% charge (price wasn’t the issue), the way the situation was handled left a bad impression due to the cook’s unnecessarily harsh tone.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I think this experience is worth sharing. I ordered a stromboli for carryout on March 25th. Unfortunately, it was burnt and unpleasant to eat. I calmly brought this to their attention, and the cook took it back and offered to charge me half—something I accepted without issue, as the cost wasn’t my concern.

What disappointed me was the disrespectful and dismissive tone I was met with. I approached the situation respectfully and accepted the compromise, yet the interaction ended in a way that felt unnecessarily hostile. Mistakes happen in food service, and that’s completely understandable. But how those moments are handled matters just as much as the food itself.

If you order a dinner delivery from here, your food will be cold and 45 min late, or more, every single time. Sauces and dressings are always forgotten. Staff is beyond rude. So unfortunate because the food here used to be exceptional. Not sure what happened.

We ordered a few dishes from here just over a week ago. When we got home, 1 of the sandwiches was missing. The person on the phone is trying to say we didn’t order that item however, there were 6!of us in the room when the order was placed. So we asked them to please deliver the item which was missing (chicken cheesesteak). They did send a delivery person with the missing item. After the delivery person left, we realized they sent a beef cheesesteak instead of chicken cheesesteak. At this point we were done. We call back and advise them the error and tell them to just credit us for the incorrect item. The guy on the phone wanted to know if I was going to return the sandwich. He said if you want a credit for the item, you need to return the sandwich. Stunned by this request, we asked him to then send the delivery person back to pick it up so we could get a credit. They did send a delivery person to pick up the first forgotten then incorrect item however, I hate to think if they were going to serve that sandwich to someone else. Needless to say, I will not order from there anymore

Hardly filled and no powdered sugar. When called to discuss the lack of filling and powdered sugar the gentleman on the phone said he filled it himself and did forget the powdered sugar. Offered no regret or apology. Just matter of fact. This is how you loose long time customers.

This place is amazing. We discovered it while living in nearby Rahway. I’m now about 20 minutes away but it’s our go-to for large family gatherings/parties where we want to cater delicious food. Prices are good and the food is just amazing. Place the order, unwrap it, and everyone compliments you on providing such great food. Also, the garlic bread is absolute perfection. Never a complaint—give this place a try!

Last minute decision to order pizza for a small luncheon party and it was great! We ordered four pizzas, all different, and all absolutely delicious. The crust was crisp (Brick oven), the toppings fresh, tasty sauce, real mozzarella, and the regular slices are large. Thank you to the staff that is always so nice; Angel, Daniel, Diane, Alex, Kaeley, and a special thank you to Patrick who delivered the pies with a smile on time and hot. Put them on speed dial. Five Star all the way!

I liked the place, clean, good vibes, no complaints! But the only funny thing was that they took my order wrong, and I ended up trying a bbq pizza
