I had visited Ancona and enjoyed it so much we had our annual Christmas party with friends here. (16 people$ Unfortunately one couple couldn’t come because they were ill and the restaurant charged us for their meals anyway. 210 bucks with tip and gratuity!! They gave us two meals but it was only the entree not the appetizer or dessert. I know it’s inconvenient for the restaurant but would you want sick people at your establishment? Things happen sometimes. Unfortunately they lost our business forever.

We go once a month. We live in Chatham, and bring new people here all the time, and they love it. Love the staff!!!! Food is fantastic. Went to a 70 person dinner, they still had the other area of the restaurant open and the service was exemplary. Their foo is top notch!!!! I highly recommend!!!!

Our first time dining here and we found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. The service was polite and efficient and the remodel was very open and inviting. The menu had something for everyone, some old favorites and some new innovative options. The food was very good and we enjoyed our evening.

Came here for Thanksgiving yesterday. We had never been here before, but heard positive things about it so we were a little nervous. Everything was beyond delicious. Our appetizers and our dinners. No complaints from anyone in our large group. Staff were very friendly for working a holiday. Inside is very clean. I definitely recommend and I would come back for sure.

Attended a wedding celebration everything was perfect would not change anything, excellent, very special evening made better.
As a group of 6 long-time friends having moved different parts of northern NJ, we keep in touch by meeting every 6-8 weeks for dinner. We used to look for new places, but Ancona Bistro has become our favorite. They have recently redone the interior. It is attractive and roomy. We requested a round table and were seated in a private alcove. We are lucky to be able to meet on Wednesdays, when the restaurant is not full. The wait staff is extremely attentive and noise level very low. Now to the food. We chose calamari, meatballs and caesar salad for appetizers. All well-prepared. For the main dish, four of us ordered the barramundi special recommended by our waiter. What a great choice. The other two choices, chicken parm and a veal dish were equally appreciated. The presentation was artful as well. The portions were large enough that we all went home with doggy bags. Desserts looked great, but we were too full to indulge. And a final plus, it's BYO.
