Honest to god best restaurant in Long Hill. You can’t get more authentic Italian food than Bar Cilento. The pasta is homemade and the recipes are at least 100 years old. You combine that with world class service and the incredible community that gathers here and I guarantee that you will come back for years to come. It is truly perfect in every way.

I stop by a Saturday afternoon. My husband order a Pasta with lamb plate . The plate barely had any lamb in it . He ordered a second beer and never got it. I just asked for the check and left.

Nice neighborhood bar/restaurant with a friendly local crowd at the bar. Outdoor area looks very inviting on a nice evening, inside dining room a bit bare but ok. Italian food is tasty.

This place has the worst mosquito problem, waitress gave a nasty look and provided sub par service.

Came here for a late dinner, ordered their regular burger which comes with lettuce, tomato and onion as specified by on their menu. When my burger arrived I was surprised to see that it was not only missing all the toppings but also mis-cooked (ordered a medium well, came out closer to medium rare.) and the bun not toasted at all, the bun was still soaking up blood from the undercooked patty. (As seen in photo)
Very disappointing as the slavic lady waitress
was more aggressive and annoyed by the fact that we spoke up instead of shutting our mouth and paying for it. Horrible behavior by somebody who is supposed to represent this business. Wasn’t my first time coming here, had many beautiful memories and dinners but this is certainly my last.

We were there for an 80th birthday celebration for my sister-in-law. It was outside and they had fans to help with the heat/humidity. It was a wonderful experience. The appys were family style, there was salad...everything delicious and fresh. I chose for my entree the short ribs and they were amazing. Someone who had the salmon said it was super flavorful. My husband had the eggplant rollatini...it was super! So glad we had leftovers to enjoy all over again! The only thing that could have been better was they seemed to be short staffed. They even printed a nice menu for us to choose from. Thank all at Cilento. If ever again in that area, will drop in for an awesome meal!!! ??
Cilento is a great place for a quick casual meal. The menu is hybrid American/ Italian. Service is always friendly but can sometimes feel a little on the slow side, which isn't a bad thing as long as you're not in a rush.

I have never written a review on google but have to because we had such a great experience with Cilento's. We had a Celebration of Life luncheon on Saturday 6/29 for my mother and father in-law and the food was delicious!!! The owners were so flexible and easy to work with, and the room we used was private and just the perfect size. If you have an event, I would highly recommend checking them out!! Thank you Sam and Gigi!!!

We went to Bar Cilento as a family of four with little kids. Our experience was terrific from the staff being friendly and very accommodating with our stroller, to understanding the importance of quickly serving children! They also had crayons, paper, and toy cars for the kids, which was a life saver.
Food was also very good, we had the vegetable risotto, gnocchi, and also ordered burgers. They also have an outdoor wood fired pizza oven, but I have yet to have it.
Kid-friendliness: Very friendly and accommodating for a large stroller. They also provide crayons, paper, and toy cars for the kids to play with.
