This food is not authentic at all. I Am a full blooded los angeles mexican and this food was microwaved tex mex. I was disappointed immediately when I saw the overpriced menu. No shot that 2 tamales are 18 dollars and they were old, sour and microwaved. The beans and rice are days old. Nothing was fresh. The damn 3 leches was the only thing that was good. I guarantee you, the chef cooks the food days in advance to save time. Look at the other reviews photos. The beans and rice are literally microwaved.
Always a solid bet for local Mexican food. Love the fajitas. And the people are always pleasant.
Authentic Mexican food a dd atmosphere. The owners used to operate restaurant of same name in Clinton
Very authentic food, right but cozy space, delightful service
This has been a staple restaurant in our area for years and definitely for good reason. The service is friendly and efficient and the food is great. Some of our favorites are the fajita and chicken mole. Love that it’s BYOB!
Food was very good and well presented. The staff was very attentive, but it was a tad noisy and that’s why I didn’t rate the atmosphere 5 stars. We had the tacos chicken and beef fajitas. Both were very good and the sides were fresh. The guacamole was especially delicious.
Excellent food. Great service. Friendly staff. Reasonably priced. Nice sized portions.
Beautiful decor, delicious authentic dishes, great service

This place really hit the spot. After building up an appetite at the nearby Great Swamp and Raptor Trust, I headed here for lunch on Labor Day with two of my chums. I was a little nervous because we showed up right around 2PM and Casa Maya's website indicated they closed for a bit at 2:30PM, but they let us in and got us a legit meal in time.
The parking situation is a bit awkward and took some navigating. The best comp I can give is the Flatiron Building in New York; the building is basically at the end of a narrow triangle (aka Meyersville and Hickory Tavern), so you have enough space for one or two cars to comfortably pull in on the side, but otherwise it's too close to the road and you end up jutting out into traffic. My chum had to park behind the restaurant and a few other buildings, but it could have been worse. Thankfully I spotted a sign nearby with additional parking instructions or we might have had to have gotten a little more creative in that regard.
The one major negative here is that it feels VERY cluttered and claustrophobic in the restaurant. I didn't see enough of the interior to confirm if they just built in too many tables/booths, but each dining area has a very high partition that makes it feel even smaller. It may just depend on your perspective - some might consider it cozy - but if I have to position my body at certain angles to comfortably navigate the restaurant and my booth, that's a problem for me.
I've stayed away from burritos for a while after experiencing some substandard ones in the Financial District, but I decided to make a comeback with the Tijuana Burrito, which featured marinated pork. I thought it was super tasty. I don't think this type of Mexican restaurant/food would ever be considered truly authentic ethnic cuisine - sort of the Sweet & Sour Chinese takeout equivalent, I suppose - but I'm a huge fan. For someone like me with a texture-based palate who doesn't typically like crunchy stuff in the middle of something soft, this was perfect - everything was saucy and ground down, if that makes sense. The pork was juicy and flavorful, and the sauces were great. It was a very decent portion that I probably only finished because of how many steps I'd accrued in the Swamp.
The service was very good, especially when you consider that they needed to get us our food well before the 2:30PM closure. The food was made to order and yet came out within minutes, allowing us to comfortably consume our entrees. They DID push us out a little after 2:30PM, but I really didn't have an issue with that - we were done with the food and they could have just not allowed new customers in by the time we came in (and we knew about the closure ahead of time). An understandable kick in the rump.
I'm rarely in this area but I'd absolutely come back, especially now that I understand the weird triangle parking lot situation.

Restaurantji Recommends
The food was decent, but the service and attitude from the employees (server/waiter) were horrendous. I highly recommend avoiding any interaction with them in person, as I'm still upset about their actions and comments days after having lunch there with my wife and daughter. My only thought should have been, "That was good, I need a nap," but instead, I'm still upset multiple days later and writing this review. In my opinion, unless you want to risk the possibility of them ruining up to a week of your time, just avoid them. You can get the same food elsewhere and be happy and fulfilled when you're done, instead of experiencing what happened to us.

I wanted to like this restaurant but the unprofessionalism is like nothing I've ever seen before. I ordered for Carnitàs and mind you I live almost an hour from this restaurant, everything was stapled in place and because I was in a hurry to get back home before rush hour I didn't even bother to check my order(a terrible mistake) upon getting home and realizing I had no tortilla packed with my order, I called the restaurant and some dude on the phone who says his name was Raffaele first response to me was "oh well ,I wasn't the one who packed your order so there's nothing I can do about it, I can take your number and have the guy who packed your order call you back " . After making me repeat my number about 11 times cause he claimed he could not hear me but I just felt he was playing games. And guess what no one ever called me. This will be the last time I ever go here with people or order online. If you can't have someone professional picking up phone calls I wonder how you are able to retain customers smh.

Very good!! I ordered tacos (chicken and pork) and they were delicious! Rice and beans on the side, I love it!
Not 5 starts because was very pricey. If was a little bit cheaper, would be 10/10.
Fajitas > 20$ it’s a lot unfortunately ??

I love this place, service is impeccable. Food is so fresh and comes out fast. So filling, so delicious. My partner left their wallet at the table and our server ran out to us. Super friendly, family atmosphere, with freshest authentic food. ?

Check your bags on takeout, I ordered fajitas and came home with no tortillas, so I ate a bowl of chicken and vegetables instead. Not what I wanted for my one weekly splurge takeout order. Won’t be taking out from here again unfortunately.
