What a cute little restaurant with delicious food. We were not rushed at all and could eat, talk and enjoy.

We had my husband's 75th birthday celebration last night and it was the best. The dining room was just the perfected size and atmosphere for our private party. The food was great. Penny, José and the entire staff made the party a success. And there is plenty of parking. Thank you Mountian Hill Bistro!

Bummed to be leaving this review since the atmosphere and aesthetics of the Bistro were very promising…wish I had read reviews beforehand then I would have been prepared for the disappointment. What I ordered, not what I received, it was definitely missing ingredients listed on the menu. Took a while to get our beverages and about an hour to get our food. Was not busy, so it seemed strange that everything took so long. I love brunch and this was an extreme disappointment.

Went in with some friends. The waiter was nice enough but one thing that boggles my mind is he gave us 3 separate checks and we gave him our individual credit cards with the separate checks in their bill folders but he somehow managed to charge the wrong check to each card.
Was going to let it go but two of the friends now have food poisoning this morning.

Went there Saturday morning for breakfast at 8:30 .. they weren’t open
Rarely write negative reviews but feel compelled to leave one for a business that should NOT be in operation. Went for brunch on a weekend only to wait exceptionally long for orders to be taken, coffees to be served and over an hour for food to come, when the food came, half of it was barely edible (too salty , not hot, tortilla chips stale). Chorizo Benedict was sliced ham?! By this time we left with our screaming children. Saw many tables cancel their orders too. A few years ago we had a good experience. When we asked what was going on, they said problems with the kitchen - this is possibly the worst dining experience I have ever experienced.

I recently dined at Mountain Hill Bistro on a Saturday morning and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Despite the restaurant not being busy, we waited over an hour for food. I ordered the crab cake Benedict, but when it arrived, the crab cake contained little to no actual crab and was mostly undercooked breadcrumbs. After such a long wait, I expected much better quality.
The food is always DELICIOUS and the staff DELIGHTFUL. Looking forward to our next meal at Mountain Hill Bistro
Thank you!

Absolutely HORRIBLE. We walked in at 12:15. There were two other tables, but it still took 15 minutes maybe 20 to get our order taken. Coffee came out 10 minutes later with spoiled cream, barely an apology. The Stevia packets were hard as a rock had obviously gotten wet and then dried. Food took a long time to come out probably another 20 minutes for breakfast dishes food was decent, until I get into a point sharp piece of plastic. We called the server over and he barely acknowledged it. I said I’d like to speak to someone in the kitchen and he really didn’t want that to happen so he just told me they were too busy. If I had swallowed the piece of plastic, it certainly would have cut my throat or worse. Did they take it off the bill?? No. I don’t think we were the only ones unhappy, looking around at the two other tables waiting forever for their food. I wasn’t sure if one couple left without eating. Considering I live about a quarter mile from this place it’s pretty sad that I’ll never go back.

$14 for this. You be the judge. Most disappointing breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. Two slices of Taylor ham would be an insult on a five dollar sandwich, this is just completely disrespectful
Had a reservation for 12:45. Put in the reservation notes that we needed a highchair, was told when we got there that they didn’t have any. I had looked in the outdoor area and there was a highchair sitting unused. I went in and asked the hostess and she magically said yes, they would have a high chair for us to use but we still had to wait for a table to be open. Finally got seated at 1:15 with the highchair. Waited another 15 minutes for menus which we had to change down the hostess for. Then another 15 for glasses which we had to go up to the bar to ask for ourselves because no one was around to ask. We put our orders in after 30 more minutes of waiting. Finally after another 40 minutes of waiting for food and seeing other tables before us also still waiting we said enough was enough and left. We arrived at 12:30 and there was a table that had no food or menus, they still did not have any of their food when we walked out. They had also just seated a party of 10 which I can only imagine had to wait forever for their food. The staff did their best but whoever was in charge of managing booking and reservations was really off the mark here. I have worked in restaurants for years so I know it is not the fault of the servers or cooks but the management that clearly did not prepare. This was my first Mother’s Day and all I wanted was a nice meal with my husband and baby. We ended up going to Taco Bell because we were that starving when we left. I’m also looking at reviews from last year on google and it seems the same thing happened last Mother’s Day so obviously the management didn’t care enough last year to learn and change their system to be better this year.
Had dinner there tonight and it was outstanding. I had fish, my wife had beef, both were great, as well as the molten lava cake. Prices are very reasonable. Worth a trip.

I’m so confused about the great reviews for this place. That was the whole reason I came. And I’m sad to write a bad review but I feel like someone here has to be honest.
1. It was 15 degrees outside and the temperature was essentially the same inside (maybe a little higher?) because every door had an aggressive draft. We felt bad leaving so we just moved tables instead. Our server suggested moving to the center of the room so we did. Even then, we had to wear our coats the whole time. The tables around us had to do the same thing. This was the first thing to go wrong but I looked past it since it’s not their fault.
2. We were one of 3 tables in the whole restaurant and service was terrible. My coffee was cold, and when I asked for a refill (thinking it would warm up my cup) I realized the entire pot was cold. Our server was really young so I tried giving her the benefit of the doubt, but we had to flag someone down for everything we needed. Because there were so few people in the restaurant, I was surprised to be ignored the whole time. Both servers were busy doing side work around us and didn’t notice we were waiting to be approached. It made me wonder how much worse the service would be if the whole place was filled!
They clearly didn’t know the menu either because when we asked for eggs benedict with home fries, they gave us each an extra side of home fries instead of telling us that our meals already came with home fries. We ended up eating them and paying for them, but why wouldn’t you let me know??
3. Our meals were VERY staggered. My fiancé got his meal a while before I got mine, and when I finally got mine, it was cold. Very average food, and even worse coffee.
I would never go out of my way to come back here especially in the winter.
