Giving a 3 because I really can't rate them, but I think it's important others know it's not kid friendly. I get it, they're a bar, but they also serve breakfast, which one would assume it would at least be family friendly and all the other bars in town have high chairs and kid's menus. Took my husband here for Father's Day, asked for a highchair, was told they didn't have any. Waters were dropped off without a word, many minutes passed without anyone coming up to us. We were wrangling our squirmy toddler, trying to get her to stay on our laps, but our effort was futile, so we left. I just wish they had a highchair for her, then our experience would have been totally different! Hope to actually be able to try them in the future, because the menu looked delicious.
The responses this restaurant gives to reviews that criticize them should already show you the type of people running this place. They also have Rowan students paying with Rowan Bucks automatically have to tip 20%. Mind you, I said students, and their food is already pricey for them to be having this practice. All for tipping also but having students have to put a certain percentage down on a card they use for other things is much. They are the only food business on the boulevard/within the area that do this.
Still tried to support despite this but eventually stopped going here months ago. They were better as Dawn to Dusk a year back not sure what happened to them.
Students, and even non, there are other food options over here more affordable and worth the money, with better ownership.
I have to be honest here .... Spicys should stick to the original menu of Spicy Affair.... We need a great Indian restaurant in this area and Spicy Affair has the best food and it's just too far from this area. The food we had tonight doesn't even compare.... Mediocre at best
bland food. rude service. I tried to not get cheese on my taco and i was met with a very rude attitude. Short hair blonde lady rude rude rude. won’t be back <3 - u had no generosity with a nasty attitude “it’s your fault it’s on there” “if you don’t like our food don’t come back” no one’s telling lies. why would i leave a tip also when u were nasty? make it make sense. i never leave google reviews obviously u weren’t nice and my salmon was RAW. ty
My food was good I got the rigatoni chicken parm. But my girlfriends food (salmon) was raw and her request with birria tacos she tried to make was at first taken into consideration for no cheese and then we both noticed the owners rude attitude and rolling her eyes at her request. I was taken back because I been here when it was “dawn to dusk” and the people were much better. Shame on you guys, I’ll make sure everyone I know knows not to go here.
I’m not one to write bad reviews, but this place was subpar at best. The French onion soup tasted old and more like onion water, absolutely no seasoning, and really bland.
Short rib had the same problem, super dry, no flavor whatsoever. We were one of three tables, and anytime we needed the server we had to flag her down. I understand being busy, but to not be attentive or aware of your tables is another thing.
Everything was also super overpriced for the quality. Only redeeming quality was the music, and atmosphere. Otherwise, very subpar and a little gross.
Best drinks in town!!!!
The only reason this place gets 2 stars is because of the atmosphere it is very nice inside and there’s good music otherwise it would be 1 star for sure. The food was very average for what they are charging - bland overall and dry. We were the first people to sit and the place was pretty empty but the waitress decided to take orders from people that walked in 20 minutes after we did and as a result when I tried to order birria tacos I was told that the people who came in after we did received the last one and they don’t have anymore which was crazy. I ordered beef fajitas which were lacking seasoning. We also ordered tikka tacos which must have been made with breast meat and the chicken was dry and the sauce did not blend properly. We ordered gobi Manchurian as an appetizer, the flavor was very good but few pieces were crispy and others just tasted like cauliflower vegetable. The drinks were the biggest disappointment and I don’t think they were mixed properly. I ordered a “porn star” and it tasted like sour cough syrup and my brother ordered some chocolate martini which wasn’t terrible but could have honestly been better. Overall slightly overpriced and very underwhelming food/service.
New bar in Glassboro but amazing for over 25. Finally, somewhere to go to get away from $2 beers and drunk undergrads, while prices for a good wine or whiskey still are prevalent.
Good morning, I just want to let you know about my experience that happened in the restaurant this past Saturday. I walked in with my wife and friend to grab breakfast real quick. The woman with the glasses asked why we were there and we told her we wanted to sit down. She said more than once that they were trying to go home and that she can't understand why people are out and that they were trying to close. I asked if they were open she said yes but then said it for the third time that she just can't understand why people are outside.
After being greeted like that we ended up just turning around and walking out to go somewhere else.
We come there and eat all the time and this was a terrible way to be greeted. If they want to go home they should just leave or lock the doors and close.

Restaurantji Recommends
The food is good, but the service is terrible. Our server was apathetic, forgot several orders, and wasn’t attentive when we needed the check. Worst of all, the staff seems to treat Rowan students poorly, with a clearly unfriendly attitude. Although the food is good, the unprofessional behavior and lack of respect make me not want to come back or recommend this place.

Horrible service, I wasted an hour and half of my time and didn’t even get my food. The waitress and the older woman who worked up front both had an attitude. They lost our food order and didn’t tell us until an hour later. We then waited another half hour and still nothing. We ended up just walking out. Never gain

As soon as we got there we received an attitude from the older woman that was seating people in the front. Then we were sat down and the waitress basically didnt listen to anything we said on the order. Served us our drinks after the food had gotten there, charged us for bbq sauce that they didn’t even give us. Made us wait an obscene amount of time. These older women working here need to go. They are burnt out. It’s time for management to hire some younger people that are more equipped for service. The food was great but the service leaves a nasty taste. If service was on point this place would be great. Unfortunately these old women aren’t making your establishment look good. ??
