I usually enjoy Playa Bowls at this location, but a few of the workers could improve their customer service. I recently ordered the wrong bowl by mistake and realized it as soon as they handed it to me. When I let them know, I noticed two employees in the back laughing, and I overall felt some attitude despite me trying to be nice and apologize for the mishap. While I normally don’t have issues here, I’ve also heard others mention issues with customer service from the workers. I think this place is a good spot for a bowl or a smoothie, but the customer service could definitely be better with a couple workers.

On 5/31/25, I visited this establishment only to be extremely disappointed at the Tropical/Acrai Bowl that was prepared and presented to me. This was the skimpest Bowl I've ever received. The young lady who made the Bowl needs additional customer service training. I addressed my displeasure of how the Bowl was prepared. Her attitude was, oh well! That's what you are getting. Although she did not verbalize this, her body language and facial expression spoke loudly. I then asked her for a bag. Instead of her placing my Bowl in the bag, she opened the bag and placed it next to my bowl which broke the camel's back. I went in on her.
I have purchased Bowls from several Playa Bowls location in NYC & Philadelphia and have never had a problem. However, the two locations in NJ, this being one are the worse!!! I will NEVER return to this location and will not visit another location in NJ.
To be fair, the young lady who took my order - Maria was very courteous and professional.

Never again!!! I treated myself to a smoothie after work. I couldn’t even get it through the straw. When I got home, I put it in the fridge. I tried again to drink it and gave up. I dumped it out in my sink. It wasn’t even blended!
