Merve's Bakery created a custom birthday cake that was the star of the party! Not only did they execute our design perfectly, they added creative touches that were on point! And they accommodated a short timeline, delivering a delicious cake by Sunday morning for an order placed on Friday. The "confetti with chocolate ganache cake" incorporated cookies with custom designs printed using their specialized cookie printer. The bakery even included a element that I thought might be tricky to make! Most importantly, the cake was super delicious, appreciated by 8 people! I would highly recommend Merve's for custom cake needs!

Parking: It is awesome that Glen Rock has two hour free street parking! Much better than some nearby towns!

I ordered a first birthday cake for my daughter’s birthday from Merve and it was absolutely adorable and delicious! Merve was so easy and pleasant to work with. She provided me with inspiration photos as well as tons of flavor choices. The cake turned out beautiful and it was very good! We also had specialty cookies made for party favors and they were equally as good and cute! I highly recommend reaching out to her if you’re interested in having a special dessert for any occasion!

So my husband purchased a birthday cake for me from Merves KB this past weekend July 2024. I can't believe for the amount of money he paid for this cake how horrible it was. The cake was so dry and crumbled as I cut it. The cake and chocolate fudge inside was so bland (not sweet at all). The icing wasn't even fresh it was icing from a container that you can buy from any super market. I can't believe they would even sell a cake like this to a customer. Will never order a cake or any baled item from this establishment ever!

I am so glad I visited Merve’s!! It is now a weekly part of my routine. The options are WONDERFUL. The food is fresh, delicious, and absolutely worth it. The Mezze bowl is by far my favorite, but you really can’t go wrong. I’ve even started to try and mimic some of the amazing recipes at Merve’s at home (though my attempts are never as delicious as the restaurant!!). The pastries and teas are also so wonderful. I really cannot say enough about this delightful little stop in Glen Rock. I will definitely be coming back time and time again!
Vegetarian options: The falafels at Merve’s are wonderful! Some of the kinds of Shakshuka and many other menu options come in vegetarian varieties. It’s a great stop for non-meat eaters!
Dietary restrictions: I am on a diet similar to the Mediterranean diet for medical reasons and Merve’s has been a lifesaver! It suits so many diets. I do not personally have any allergies, but there are options on the menu that are free of the big five allergies (to my knowledge! always double check!)

This is what Merves kitchen allows to be put in customer’s sandwiches. Really just awful, avocado was inedible and rotten, hard as a rock and the rest of the sandwich isn’t much better. Unacceptable for how much they charge, would avoid at all costs.

I went with friends. Food was good and filling and presented cleanly. Atmosphere was beautiful too, with tall windows perfect for sunlight and easy piano music.My friends had mixed reviews on their drinks, but I personally liked mine (Dirty Chai). I got a small, but it was such a considerable size, like some places might charge you for a large for the same oz. Additionally, a good price, I attached a picture of the cup, which was filled to the brim, and for $4.95 nowadays it’s a bargain.My main issue was the Shakshuka. Again, delicious food. However, the pricing was a bit strange. I ordered a Veggie Lover Shakshuka, which is $10.95. I also wanted Feta, so I wanted that extra. Notice that the Shakshuka is $10.25, and the Shakshuka with feta $10.75. You would assume feta must be 50 cents, right? And that for feta in addition to a Veggie Lover Shakshuka is 50 cents plus $10.95. Look at my receipt. The extra cheese was $2.00. This just seems weird and inconsistent, and when I discussed it with a worker, the worker says that the system automatically charges $2.00 for extras and that they couldn’t set individual prices.Additionally, it seems they forgot the mushrooms and spinach for my Veggie Lover Shakshuka, which comes with peppers, spinach, and mushrooms. However, the workers remedied this when I brought this to their attention, providing extra bread as well.Overall, lovely place with good food, but weird pricing systems that are a bit shady in my opinion. I’d recommend this place, but don’t buy extras since they’ll charge $2.00 for a sprinkle of feta.

I’m so lucky with the job I have that I’m able to eat at a different places on different towns , even different states ( NY/NJ) every day, and this particular spot made me feel so comfortable, so welcome, hard to described but it made me feel like I had been here dozen of times.anyways, the service west excellent I order something very simple scrambled eggs with cheese and crispy and it was cooked to perfection, I suggestion will be if they can have the coffee a little more hot. but overall, I still give them five stars.
