One of my new fav places ! I done been here more than a few times & my food was good everytime. I don’t mind waiting 5-8 mins, especially when it’s just the owner! Now I would say just use a little less salt products on the chicken (high bp issues) other than that, no complaints ! Chicken not all big & soggy looking, it’s always crispy & juicy ?
I was very disappointed in this place I walk in it’s only one person working and he has his son roaming the place unAttendent now I understand people have own ways trying to maintain but that both dangerous and unacceptable the place didn’t have a soul food smell and the place is no up-kept i’m so disgusted that I change my mind to even ask for something or pay for something to eat

Long wait but i will say it was worth it. Ordered the wing platter with baked Mac and cheese sweet potatoes. All around my platter was good. 2 seafood salads side of collard greens, mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, and cornbread. Over all food was pretty good which has been hard to find these last few years. Definitely will be back.
Good eats!! I never leave reviews but I had to. Had the chicken breast platter. With an off the menu flavor for the chicken? Mac n cheese ? yams ? everything fresh, played pool till the food was ready. Definitely adding to my list of spots! Oh yea had the wings with the I think sweet chili too it was ???.

Horrible Mac n NO cheese, turkey tasted old, greens had too much sugar I thought I was eating candy yams, the fish was fried fresh and looked beautiful however had no flavor besides tasting the flour. The seafood pasta had big clumps of imitation crab meat that you could only taste the mayo and pepper. Waste of money so disappointing.

The best part of the food I got was the cornbread, the turkey chop was ok the rice was dry and that seafood salad needs help!! It's a one and done for me!!

I got the ribs, turkey wings over yellow rice, collard greens, candied yams, seafood pasta, and mac n cheese. Food was really good, ribs were juicy and fall-off-the bone. Turkey wings were really good too. I would come back. Thanks!

Pretty excited I stumbled upon this spot from taking the wrong street. I will say it's almost easy to miss if you're not familiar with the area, but there's ample off street parking. Now looks can be deceiving and I was hesitant on going in and then upon entering I thought I had the wrong spot. They seem more busy if you order via online than if you're a walk-in, but the owner is super friendly. Now the food... good golly did the smell of it fill my car that I couldn't get home fast enough. I got the fish platter with Mac n cheese, yams & collard/cabbage mix. The fish is whiting and was fried nicely and enjoyed the seasoning, the yams were a big stringy for me yet the taste was also really good. Now the Mac n cheese was decent and I liked the green mixture which I've never had before. The shining star was that fish which I've been craving fried fish. It was a good portion of food for $23 and they accept cash/card. I'll be back.

Chosen Profection Soulfood is a newer addition to the soulfood scene in South Jersey - putting out platters that look and taste like they came straight from Big Momma's kitchen. Folks are beginning to call this place the best Soulfood around (hands down!). Despite having major competitors in the area (like Corinne's and Aunt Berta's) this place has established a solid reputation for itself and is quickly earning respect from a loyal following of regular customers. There's more than enough opportunity for this business to thrive. - They offer pick up, dine in, Doordash - They also offer catering services - AND... it's a private event venue!

I'm a team trucker who stop through states and make it a point to order from black own soul food spots and do reels because they all have been so good. After tasting the food I'm wondering if it's really black owned, no seasoning, my food was cold, wings wasn't fresh. This is the first place I couldn't finish the food. So disappointing, I'm hungry. Maybe this was just a bad day. Well at least I got to give 60 bucks to the establishment.

I came here last night for the first time and got the wings with Mac and cheese and it was pretty good, he has so many different wing sauces to choose from! The only thing I wish they had was dipping sauces.
