Despite only one server, he busted his butt to make it a very pleasant experience! We watched a couple walk out but it was not his fault he was all alone! He did a SUPER job!

It was our first time dining at Chubby's. It will not be our last. Service was outstanding. Steaks were outstanding. Little pricey

As we walked in there were two gentlemen playing light dining music in the background. The historic bar is amazing. The cocktails were excellent. The wine selection was very good and unlike other steak houses reasonably priced. Dinner was excellent with two superbly cooked 8 oz fillets, which where elegantly presented to our table. Very good steakhouse in our area nestled on a corner in Gloucester City.

Great Food Great Service Great City This restaurant is a must get to...drove 45 mins to get there but well worth the trip! Nicest people in the business

Had dinner with my girl here last night, after hearing good things about this place, i’m very disappointed, we shared an appetizer Italian Stuffed Peppers, They filing had the texture of baby food complete mush!! Next we had Salads which were decent, Finally our Steaks came out after a wait, I had the NY Strip topped with Lump Crab, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, with a side of Mushrooms and Black Garlic Butter, although my steak was cooked to the proper temperature of medium, it was dry and no juices came out as I cut it, the Crab on top was also dry and overcooked, The mashed potatoes were probably the worst i’ve ever had, and the Mushroom were way overcooked and flavorless, My Girl had the Filet With Demi Glacé. sauce, Baked Potato and Side of Asparagus, Her Steak was cooked to Proper temperature but seemed unseasoned and they forgot her sauce, Potato was fine and massive and the Asparagus was Good but also lacked seasoning. I spent $300 total with tip, I’m never one to complain at a restaurant but I should have and will never dine here again!

The food was very good and our waitress Julie was very attentive and friendly. The only disappointment was that it was St. Patrick's Day and the musicians never played a single Irish tune.🤔

Opentable Diner

Usually a nice experience. Tonight was not the best. Waited more than an hour and 40 minutes to get our entrees. We didn't order any apps only salad. Waitress was nowhere to be found until we asked the other server (who was lovely) where she was. That's when she finally appeared and told us there was a backup in the kitchen. She kept saying she expedited our order (at the 1.5 hour point). However, the table next to us (that was sat after we ordered) had salads, an appetizer, and got their entrees mere minutes after us. That was a bit of a slap in the face. Half of the $50 meat orders had the wrong temperature, and the waitress couldn't be bothered; we were an inconvenience to her by that point. Meanwhile, $400+ later and I am a bit unhappy. I usually never write a review but this was just completely unacceptable.

Chubby's Steakhouse has always been a go-to favorite of ours. We haven't been there for a little while and made plans to go this past weekend. We made reservations and arrived right on time. We were seated promptly and had our water before we even sat down. It went downhill from there. We looked at our drink menus and were ready to order within a short time. We waited 20 minutes and still could not get any of the employees to even acknowledge or make eye contact with us. All this time, customers were still coming in and being seated. During our time there, we did not see anybody being served. We considered going to the hostess to ask when we could expect to be served. However, I do not believe a customer should need to ask a hostess if they can be served when they are about to put out over $200 for a dinner for two people. They were apparently short staffed, but did not make any effort to acknowledge us and explain the situation. We waited almost half an hour before putting on our coats and leaving, never to return again. One final note, since we were very hungry, we stopped at Outback Steakhouse and had a wonderful meal and excellent service at less than half the price!

Made a reservation well in advance for Valentine’s Day (mid December) and ended up being seated on the second floor in an odd shaped table in the middle of the room. The early resi should have secured me a street level seat.

Ordered a couple drinks and was told our bread would be out shortly. Three other couples were seated well after we were and all received bread before us. Inquired about an app (how many bacon wrapped shrimp ) and server told us wrong amount. Kinda disappointed in that. Would have ordered another choice had he told us right amount.

Both of our drinks were empty for a while and and server only asked me if I wanted a refill. Not my wife.

Food was great (ribeyes and steak fries). Asked for ketchup and it wasn’t brought out until our meals were finished. Carrot cake and coffee were very good.

Server was running around frazzled the entire time. Not a good look especially a day like Valentine’s Day. I understand it’s busy but this was bad. Not sure if this is a training issue or what.

Based on this I don’t see us returning

The whole course of meals was great, but the mashed potatoes were very cold 🥶 so I have to give them 4 stars. My ribeye steak was warm at best but I'll let it slide because it was for a company party and it was a bunch of steaks to prepare all at once. The pretzel bread was delicious 😋 with the garlic butter 🧈 The ceasar sald was tasty.

Went in 12/22/2024 and purchased a $100 Gift Card at the bar. I decided to grab a sandwhich at the bar with my son. I paid the bill, tipped 33% and we left. I looked at my bank statement and noticed that more than what I tipped was taken out of my bank. Bar Staff wrote over my tip and decided to tip themselves at 66.67%. I called the restaurant and emailed them to no avail. Management never contacted me back. I had to dispute this directly with my bank.
On top of that, they were out of Gift Card Holders, bar staff wrote the amount on my gift card with a Sharpie Marker (looks cheap). They were out of rolls and served a burger on the long cheesesteak roll. I’m embarrassed to even gift the Gift Card at this point with my abhorrent experience. To protect yourself, please take a photo of your bill and check your bank balance when it clears as staff likes to write in their own tips and steal money from patrons.

Used to be the best. The food portion & quality is very bad right now. They need to get new chef's. Not personal.

The best steakhouse in South Jersey, hands down! The food is always excellent & the service is top notch.

Parking: If you get there right around the time they open, parking is not a problem.

Honestly… Food and Service was terrible, we ordered steaks and seafood, things were prepared and majorly overcooked. I don’t t enjoy doing reviews for a negative experience.but when you spend this kind of money you expect everything to go perfect. Thumbs down ??
