Chubby's never disappoints. Food is excellent, drinks delicious. Love the atmosphere, we go early so its always quiet enough to have conversation. Its our go to when we want a great meal locally.
It was our first time there. Wasn't sure what to expect but it was very welcoming from the moment we arrived. Our waitress Cait was great, she told us about the food and wines; gave us her recommendations as well. The other staff members were very friendly and very prompt. Food was absolutely fantastic and cooked to perfection! We had the homemade tiramisu for dessert and I'm so glad we did, it was phenomenal!!! Never had to ask for anything at all. Highly recommend and we will be back.
Our meal was delicious, on Tuesday they have a special meal for including your choice of a menu that includes most of the entire menu. It included appetizers, salad, main course and deserts. Our waitress was sweet and attentive to our party of four. We will definitely go back and recommend it anyone
First visit was this weekend. Overall experience was delightful. Food was awesome and prices were within reason of most high-end steakhouses. For a Sat night it wasn't overly crowded but attributed that to being summer and things are slower; however, we sat at what they consider the Captain's table (party of 7) and didn't feel rushed at all. The service by waiter Justin was impeccable. He was so attentive and his fabulous personality was our entertainment for the evening. Highly recommend a visit and make sure to ask if Justin is available.
Other than parking being a challenge everything was awesome. Opted for their 2 for Tuesday fixed four course price menu that was superb. As usual, service was spot on. Well worth searching out.
Food was excellent with generous portions. Kitchen was a little slow. Service was not the best. Appetizer came out before we even had our cocktails...waitress forgot about them. Bread didnt come out until much later. Band was nice but too loud for such a small space. Made it difficult to have a quiet conversation and tables were super close. All in all a good experience. Will we go back??? Probably not.
Chubby's is the old school steak house atmosphere. With the exception of the size of the table, everything was great from out martinis to our steak n lobster. The blueberry Riccotta Cheesecake was excellent!
We made reservations for a special dinner for our friend's retirement ... Chubby's is ALWAYS on point !!! The service was excellent (Thanks Ella) ~ the cocktails were terrific and the dinners were WOW !!! Steaks cooked to perfection ... crab cakes were yummy .. thanks Chubby's for another wonderful dinner !!!
Our server had such a great personality. We loved her! The appetizers (calamari, house salad, French onion soup and bruschetta) were all really good. Our filet mignon was good, just not great. Not worth the price. Three of the four were not cooked to the correct temperature which was very disappointing for a $600 dinner. Although the restaurant wasn't busy, the service was very slow. Maybe they were short-staffed in the kitchen? WeI've heard such great things about Chubby's, but I'm not sure we'd go back.
Despite only one server, he busted his butt to make it a very pleasant experience! We watched a couple walk out but it was not his fault he was all alone! He did a SUPER job!

It was our first time dining at Chubby's. It will not be our last. Service was outstanding. Steaks were outstanding. Little pricey
As we walked in there were two gentlemen playing light dining music in the background. The historic bar is amazing. The cocktails were excellent. The wine selection was very good and unlike other steak houses reasonably priced. Dinner was excellent with two superbly cooked 8 oz fillets, which where elegantly presented to our table. Very good steakhouse in our area nestled on a corner in Gloucester City.
Great Food Great Service Great City This restaurant is a must get to...drove 45 mins to get there but well worth the trip! Nicest people in the business
Had dinner with my girl here last night, after hearing good things about this place, i’m very disappointed, we shared an appetizer Italian Stuffed Peppers, They filing had the texture of baby food complete mush!! Next we had Salads which were decent, Finally our Steaks came out after a wait, I had the NY Strip topped with Lump Crab, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, with a side of Mushrooms and Black Garlic Butter, although my steak was cooked to the proper temperature of medium, it was dry and no juices came out as I cut it, the Crab on top was also dry and overcooked, The mashed potatoes were probably the worst i’ve ever had, and the Mushroom were way overcooked and flavorless, My Girl had the Filet With Demi Glacé. sauce, Baked Potato and Side of Asparagus, Her Steak was cooked to Proper temperature but seemed unseasoned and they forgot her sauce, Potato was fine and massive and the Asparagus was Good but also lacked seasoning. I spent $300 total with tip, I’m never one to complain at a restaurant but I should have and will never dine here again!

The food was very good and our waitress Julie was very attentive and friendly. The only disappointment was that it was St. Patrick's Day and the musicians never played a single Irish tune.🤔
