By the way this place is closed. Does anyone know if it’s closed for good or they are just renovating? From the looks of it it’s over. Very Dissapointing.

My wife and I were sailing out of New York on October 23rd. We always stay at a local hotel the night before. I did a Google search for a small local Italian restaurant nearby and stumbled on Cavalino's. I made reservations not knowing how crowded Sunday night would be. What a great find. We walked in and didn't even give our name and we were seated immediately. it quickly became evident that Marcelo was the maitre d, waiter, bar tender, busser and chef. What a guy who did it all and made you feel welcome. The food was outstanding and I dine in a lot of Italian restaurants. It was one of the best dining experiences in long time. When I paid our bill I looked for Marcelo only to find him in the kitchen working away. I congratulated him on such a great meal saying I wish we lived closer. He informed me that they may be closing and said maybe we will meet again somewhere else because you never know what life brings your way. Hopefully he continues on in his craft. Thank you Marcelo and staff for a great dining experience.

Great place, right under my nose. Located in my neighborhood , it was a pleasant discovery. Marcelo is great, and funny, helpful, very accommodating, food is really good, the steak is really really good. And I worked in a steak house for more then 15 years. I know steak. I'll be going back definitely!!!
Best chicken francaise I’ve had in years! The early bird till 7pm is awesome with soup, salad, and dessert!

The Early Bird Special alone is a reason to come here (Soup, Salad, and Main for $18). My friends had the steak and I had the meatballs. All were yummy! The service was also good. I will definately be back.

This is a very cozy place & Marcelo makes you feel very welcome. He makes the best. Cappuccinos ? will definitely be coming back for a cappuccino & dessert. The food was so good & not heavy, which I loved .We loved the mozzarella sticks, which didn't survive a picture. The service was excellent & they do not rush you ?Definitely a food hangover...
STALKER OWNERI used to frequent this place with my gf at the time, now my wife. We always had a good time and enjoyed the food. A few years ago, the owner proceeded to stalk my gf on Facebook and began messaging her. It was shocking & above inappropriate on every level. My gf showed me his messages (still screen shot & saved) I immediately responded. Needless to say we have never gone back and never will. Stay away from Cavalinos!!

Ive asked for small change to the side of pasta; many restaurants have refused because its a few extra clicks in their POS system but cavalinos never gave me a gard time and thus very friendly; Great family style service and the food is fresh and not heavy
