Outstanding food, outstanding service, outstanding setting. 100% legit true Italian old school spot without the attitude or stereotypes of other Italian spots in Jersey. Genuinely a hidden gem and I'm so mad for waiting so long to come as I've known about this place for decades. Can't wait to come back.

My husband and I love this place. We used to live around the block and even though we moved, we will still make the drive back to GP's for the amazing food. I always get the chicken parm, while the hubs likes to switch it up. We always enjoy our meal, the sauce is so good! The salad is also amazing, I don't know what they put on it, maybe the cheese? or the oil & vinegar? I don't know, but the salad is amazing. It's a classic NJ Italian spot, small, cozy, amazing food, and the same friendly waiter is always there all these years :). It's definitely a special spot. We aren't big drinkers so I can't say myself but the bar also often looks pretty hopping!

The most classic Italian restaurant you can imagine in NJ. Walk past the bustling bar and hopefully they can find you a seat at one of their red and white checkered tablecloths. Our server was a huge, older man who took our orders brisquely, chided me for wanting to eat spaghetti bolognese (who would order just that?!), but everything was good! The baked clams were salty and tasty, the bread was warm, the pasta perfectly cooked in thick red sauce. The tiramisu made a perfect end. We also tried the gelato ice cream covered in a thick chocolate shell - the shell was especially delectable! So happy to have found this neighborhood gem, and hope to visit again the next time we return to NJ.

Maybe I am a little biased but I have always loved GP's. If you are in the neighborhood it is a great place for some terrific food. I have not had one thing there that I could really complain about. Great service, great food and it is reasonable.

Gp’s is my favorite restaurant in Hudson County hands down. The best artichokes to start and a Peroni in a cold glass. I usually let the master “ server “ Mr. Joe order for me JUST CAUSE his family & I go way back. We take a picture every-time. If you haven’t experienced GP’s ambience, staff & food you really need to live a little. ⚡️
