Kunkel's Seafood & Steakhouse

Had a great dinner at Kunkels in Haddon Hts. From appetizer to dessert everything was perfect and delicious. Steaks cooked perfectly, pork chop tender and delicious, chicken marsala one of the best I've ever tasted. Even the bread and butter were terrific. Prices were reasonable. Service and waitress were outstanding. It was our first time there is definitly now on the list of go to places.

Been here a handful of times. The experience, the servers, and the byob is wonderful! So lets talk food!

First, the water here is awful! I suppose it just tap, but it was undrinkable.
The salads are always amazing! Apps are solid! Now the Entrees seem to fall flat. Each time I’ve had one it was not seasoned at all. Perhaps they don’t season to please the older crowd? Either way, no seasoning on the meat is a bummer. I also ordered the “Chefs Vegetables” with my meal and it was just steamed unseasoned Broccoli. Wheres the love chef!?

We went for brunch and it was excellent!
Definitely would recommend!

Kid-friendliness: There were children there and they were treated with courtesy and the parents, with respect.

Came here for our 5yr anniversary as we wanted to try something new. Needless to say we were blown away and not just with the food , but the service also. Our server Denise was always checking on us and took the time to explain everything on the menu with great recommendations! The salmon is amazing and the pork chop too. The food feels home cooked with extra love. We will be returning ASAP!

My husband and I went to Kunkels for the 1st time. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary. From beginning to end we were so pleased with everything! Our server, Brynn, was so attentive! She was always one step ahead of us. The food was top notch. We got the ahi tuna crostini, French onion soup and beef and vegetable soup to start. I got the new york strip steak with added mushrooms and my husband got the pork chop special. The food was cooked perfectly, very big portion and absolutely delicious! Unfortunately, we didn't leave room for dessert. We can't wait to go back. A++++ Brynn, you are the best waitress we have had in quite a while. Thank you for making our night out perfect.

My husband and I took our son here to celebrate his bachelor’s degree. What a great experience! The food was delicious and the service was warm and friendly. So glad we chose Kunkel’s for this occasion and will definitely return!

Meh. The reviews and pictures were mixed but we decided we wanted to try something new for my dad's birthday so made a reservation for 6 people.

Let me start with the service...while our waiter was friendly she was not attentive to our table after taking the order. We noticed all the other tables had bread and we were sitting for 45 minutes after ordering our meals and did not get bread or even a refill or drinks or water. We got the attention of our server and asked for bread. 20 more minutes and she brought small basket with 5 pieces of bread (for a table of six waiting over an hour now). We asked for more and 10 minutes went by, so we asked again assuming they forgot. We were told it's in the oven. Finally, another small basket of 5 slices shows up in another 10 minutes. After 90 minutes our apps arrived. Seafood chowder was ok at best, raw clams were tasty, salads and dressings were very good.

Our meals came soon after, but total wait from when we sat was 2 hours.

Steaks were very good, salmon was average at best, seafood pasta was ok, halibut special was decent. Overall, the entrees were forgettable.

We ordered desserts which were surprisingly fantastic. The rice pudding, crem brûlée, and their cheesecake/ice cream were all delicious.

Now back to the service....by the time we finished dessert, not one water glass was refilled and the table wasn't bussed. We piled our empty appetizers and salad plates at the end of the table and they remained there the entire meal.

I know many people had great experiences but this is a definite one and done as everyone in our party agreed.

Food: For appetizers, I ordered the mussels in white sauce and it was so delicious! I loved how flavorful yet tangy the mussels were and they were cooked at the right temp! My husband ordered the beef ravioli and it was soo good!!! The beef was very tender and the brisket sauce was amazing. It’s his new favorite. Our entrees I had the filet mignon w/ mashed potatoes and the steak was cooked perfectly! I eat my steak medium rare so if anyone loves medium rare steak, Kunkel’s cooks it with perfection. My husband ordered smoked beef brisket with mashed potatoes and fried onions on the top and it was so good! We love this place and are so happy we found a new restaurant to call our favorite.
