AMAZING!!
Gass and Main is a small, quaint spot in Haddonfield. It feels very homey inside, which adds to its charm. We went for a weekend brunch with a few others, and overall the experience was acceptable, but not particularly memorable.
Atmosphere: Small and homey, but can be loud due to the pop music, amount of guests, and size of the space.
Service: Only one waitress on a busy weekend brunch hour. **This is a big miss on their part, as it feels as though they are trying to take advantage of the small space by only having one primary wait staff. Size should not be underestimated, they should have had at least 2 waiters as our waitress was visibly stressed, forgetful with orders, and overwhelmed as each table was full.
Food: The food is as expected at a brunch place, but I would not necessarily call it 'fancy' in any regard as their slogan touts. There is not much to write home about in terms of taste or quality. The portions almost feel small with common brunch sides, such as breakfast potatoes and the like. They also serve ketchup in small dishes which can only get you a couple of dips before you have to ask again. Increase the serving size of sides and the size of sauce dishes and it would help.
Gass & Main provided everything I’d hoped for in a Mother’s Day brunch with my mom and grandmom. Thoughtful and sizable menu, great service, AMAZING food. The gnocchi mac and cheese and the strawberry shortcake dessert were standouts. We’ll be back!
My experience at Gass & Main was outstanding. I was celebrating my birthday with a party of 9. They took my reservation for a brunch a month in advance. They answered all my questions when I called to confirm. The restaurant is beautiful on the inside and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was PHENOMENAL. Would recommend the table pancakes, deviled eggs, and oreo pancakes. For dessert I got the strawberry shortcake and it was amazing. They also had a sparkler candle for me for my birthday. The whole experience was 10/10. Will definitely be back. Thank you Gass & Main for making my birthday unforgettable.
First time there. Visited with my son, his GF and my mother. All I can say is that everything lived up to expectation, from the greeting at the door, service during the meal, and of course the food. Everything ordered was spot on in both flavor and freshness. For the quality of the food the prices were extremely reasonable which was another added bonus. Special shout out to our server Freya (hope the spelling is correct) for being attentive and friendly and funny.
Food ordered and would highly recommended
Brussel Chips
Deviled Eggs
Duck Wings
Wagyu Hot Dog
Burger with bacon jam
Shrimp Scampi (This was a special that night)
Been here a multiple times and every time the service is great and the food is amazing. I tell all my friends about this place and no joke every single thing i’ve tried here has been the best version of whatever it was that i’ve ever tasted.
I’ve only ever had good experiences here at Gass and Main! Every time I come here the menu has changes and there’s always something new to try. I used to be a vegetarian and was (as most people are) obsessed with the gnocchi mac and cheese. That’s my favorite food and it’s by far been the best mac I’ve had ANYWHERE.
Tonight I only tried new things off of their menu since I haven’t been there in a while. We had the cheese ball, which they’re always switching up the toppings for so we get it every time. As well as the artichoke cake and the hand pies, and the bang-bang asparagus. My fiancé got the mixed grill florentine. And of course we had to take a dessert home regardless of how full we were, so we got the cannoli. All to die for.
I don’t even have words for the way the flavors all seem to just blend perfectly. As a pretty picky eater, this is the one place I will try anything at least once and try to get the fullest experience of the dish.
The staff here is amazing. The servers are so knowledgeable on the menu and give their own recommendations. The owner is a huge part of production every time I’ve ever been in, running the show, but being as helpful as possible and involved in the running of food, expo, and hosting. They seem to be a great leader and boss and everyone works as a team which is important in a smaller place.
The people, food, and atmosphere are the highest of quality. This place is a hidden gem and always worth every penny, definitely make a reservation and give everything on the menu the chance to blow your mind!
Eclectic takes on your favorite comfort foods. BYOB. Definitely get the gnocchi mac & cheese and the table pancakes. Servers were pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. It can get a *little* noisy during busy times and the place is not huge, so advise making a reservation if you can. Limited outdoor seating weather permitting. Park nearby and walk up as street parking is scarce. All in all, the four of us enjoyed the experience and all agreed we would go back.
The good:
Location, service and outdoor seating
The meh:
Food and prices. My salad wasn’t fresh, I pulled few wilted pieces of lettuce. Grilled chicken had weird, hard pieces. I don’t know about you, but I find it unenjoyable- both, old lettuce and inedible parts of chicken. In a $22 salad. They really need to pay more attention to details.
My wife and I wen there for brunch and we had a great time there. Everyone is attentive and friendly. I like the food options and the food we had was good. The tables were clean and the bathroom was clean which is important for restaurants.
The inside of the restaurant is small, but I would not let that deter you from dining in there. I would advise setting a reservation so that way you can have a chance to eat there.
I would recommend this place and I plan on going back to try their dinner menu.

I was at Gass and Main tonight for a private party. It was the most delicious meal I’ve had out in such a long time. From start to finish was absolutely lovely. The waitstaff were not only friendly, but quick and attentive. The food was to die for! kudus to the amazing chefs who worked so hard to put out such delicious dishes. Overall a wonderful experience. Will be back sooner than later. We had the Brussels sprout chips, rainbow carrots, chips and caramelized onion dip with caviar, bang bang asparagus. I had the wedge salad and my husband had the big salad, both delish, For dinner I had the primavera pasta with crab, yum, and my husband had the lemon chicken, also yum, dessert was a choice of a biscoff cannoli (😋) or a basque cheesecake with mango and coconut 🫦. We got one of each so we could try each others. If you don’t try this place you are totally missing out.
What an amazing menu! Food was excellent. Our server Matt was awesome and knowledgeable. Love that brunch is offered on some weekdays. I look forward to coming back to try the dinner menu
Gass & Main was a fantastic restaurant with great service all around us! Our waitress, Freya, was simply outstanding. Her personality, energy, and suggestions had us stunned. STUNNED. We will definitely be visiting this place again and requesting her service, along with the amazing food we had. To say this restaurant is impressive is an understatement, never mind the prices if that’s your concern, the quality surpasses it.
This place is TINY. To be fair, we went on a Sunday evening, but they were out of 2 of the 3 things we went there to try, so that was disappointing. The space was cramped and there were two kids running in and out (not the restaurant’s fault, of course.) The gnocchi mac was nice. The tinned fish plate was disappointing — it was mostly potato chips and I really wasn’t sure what to do with them all. The charred carrots they had on menu at the time were very nice. The service was ok — a little cold.
Overrated. Nothing special. One and done.
