My second time there and I wasn't disappointed. Food was amazing and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

I was really looking forward to a nice Italian meal and it was so disappointing. It started with bad bread and went downhill from there. Caprese app & veal saltimbocca were only edible because we were hungry. I don't understand all the good reviews.

Fresh and flavorful food with pasta that tastes truly homemade. The branzino is light, delicious, and a great choice. Service is warm and attentive, and the owner is genuinely welcoming. A place I’d happily visit again.

Great evening out at Mare Monte in Haddonfield to celebrate a friends belated birthday. 🙂 The restaurant has a lovely calm atmosphere and the staff is extremely attentive and knowledgeable.
After delicious calamari appetizer to share, I settled in with Vitello Mare Monte... mushrooms, crabmeat, candied walnuts, truffle gorgonzola cream over sauteed veal. Stellar!! 😊 We also shared a lively 2019 Fagmilia Castellani Sangiovese that we brought along. 😋 our lovely and friendly server expertly opened it and decanted it for us at the table with no issues and couldn't have been better.
Was nice to have a sit-down meal out with some of my favorite people in a great atmosphere where you don't feel rushed and they treat you like kings and queens.

Every thing we ordered was delicious. From appetizers to desert. One of our favorite restaurants.
We had 12 for dinner the day after Christmas, including 5 from out-of-town. Picked Mare Monte because of the good reviews and wanted a small downtown Haddonfield Christmas feel. We got what we were looking for. Food and service were excellent. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable, water glasses were constantly refilled, bread refreshed and plates were timely cleared. Everyone raved about whatever entree they ordered. It was a top notch dining experience.

The food was great. However, the website and social channels didn't clearly mention that there would be a special New Year's Eve menu, so we weren't able to order some of the items we had been looking forward to. That said, the starters and entrées we did order were excellent. The oddest part of the experience came with dessert. We weren't given a dessert menu and were instead brought two random desserts. The same thing happened to the table next to us, though they received different desserts than we did. There was also no offer of coffee or espresso. For $75 per person, I would have expected a more traditional four-course Italian meal, allowing both of us to enjoy a pasta course as well as a second/main course.
The menu had a large variety to choose from , even though it was a set three course meal. The food was tasty and the service was excellent.
Enjoyed a Christmas Eve dinner, the excellent food enhanced by wonderful service. Will return!

Great caesar dressing. The portion size for their $12 salad should be illegal.
Have had some great food here. And some misses. And some mediocre. Tonight will likely be the last time I go.
Strike 1 - we ordered our 3 YO’s meal as soon as we sat. It wasn’t entered as we had to order again when all adults ordered. We asked for his food to come first or worst case with appetizers. We checked in a few times. It didn’t come and kiddo had to sit and watch everyone else eat appetizers.
Strike 2 - I asked to speak to a manager. After several minutes, a young waitress came out and claimed to be the manager. I was skeptical. She then proceeded to mouth off to me that they were busy and other people ordered first. I didn’t want to argue with that so I walked away. They weren’t busy. Two small tables, one party of 12, and us. And about 15-20 empty tables. And a party in the back. Even still, should have held adults food until kiddos was ready. And her attitude was abysmal and unacceptable
Strike 3 - when we were done eating, like 30 mins later, the manager came to our table and said he has been too busy to come see us earlier but wanted to check in. Tells you how little they care about issues. We said it was over, not worth discussing. So as a gesture of goodwill, he sent out a dessert covered in crumbled walnuts. We had told our waitress we had a severe walnut allergy at the table and modified the salads accordingly so they did know.
To be fully fair, several of the dishes were excellent. My pasta was very good. Nowhere near good enough to make up for these issues.

Slow service. Entree's were salty. Apps were very good. Had the octopus and artichokes for apps.
