Megu has such fresh sushi and the hot appetizers are amazing too!! The Japanese Won Ton Soup is also a great one to try.

After trying nearly a dozen over priced or poor quality ACYE sushi places...Megu Haddonfield was the perfect balance between price point and quality. Restaurant is very clean and decorated wonderfully. Maki rolls are wrapped tight with proper vinegar (acid) balance in sushi rice. I am only disappointed that they discontinued the salmon skin roll as it was once the best I have had in awhile.
West Coast folk...my fellow Californians... California rolls are different here and most sushi chefs around here have never heard of Lion King roll. So please be prepared that sushi is made slightly different here then West Coast.

Megu's sushi is top-notch! We usually order delivery, but decided to stop in on a Thursday evening because we were getting stir-crazy. Our waitress was super attentive and came back several times to ensure we were happy with our meal. We had an assortment of basic rolls (salmon, yellowtail jalapeño, crab, and cucumber) and had nothing but positive opinions about them all. I would highly recommend checking out Megu the next time you're in the area. In fact, I'd even recommend getting delivery since the food arrives fresh every time.

The dine in service was terrible. Felt very unwelcome and rushed to order, even though no one else was in the place. The salmon in Philadelphia roll looked and tasted like it had gone bad. On a positive note, the California roll was good and so was the miso soup. My friends and I were wondering why the place was so empty, and now we can see why. We hope to get a more friendly server next time if we ever decide to give it another try…

I ordered pickup for lunch and when I got there, the closed sign was on the door and no one was in sight. My order was not ready, the ticket hadn’t even been printed because they hadn’t even turned the printer on yet. They were still in the process of opening even though they had opened an hour prior. Their lunch deals are good, but the food isn’t good enough to deal with the lack of professionalism. The fish was also very tough and tasted like it had gone bad. I ended up not eating most of my meal.

Good food , big portions, good service
Food was great but they rushed us out of there. 6 of us got there at 3pm and we were done before 4pm. Here's the kicker, we were the only ones in the place. Very bad experience.

Quaint sushi spot but massive flavor. Great experience and service was phenomenal, not to mention the speediness of food service. Tim behind the chefs counter is a genius and a real professional. Fully enjoyed the entire meal, thank you. Satisfied!*UPDATE 6/3/2023* Moved to SC and visited about two weeks ago when visiting my folks in NJ; of course I had to stop in to one of my favorite sushi joints! Again, had a great meal with good friends and enjoyed every bite, but couldn't finish the Love Boat alone (my girl lied about sharing it with me lol, but I tried to tackle it myself-see pic). Great atmosphere, clean eating area, and pleasant/courteous/clean/vigil servers! Thank you again Tim, it's always a pleasure to visit your establishment, keep up the great work making delicious food; I tip my hat to you good sir. One day I will shake your hand, when you aren't busy behind the counter making wonderful, and respectable, foods out of raw sea life with as much respect as you put into it. Said it once; saying it again: Super Satisfied!

Incredibly small portions. Will never be ordering from here again. $10 for a pint of Wonton soup with no description of size on the website. Way better options for Japanese in South Jersey and it’s actually worth it. Mikado in Cherry Hill, Mt. Fuji in Deptford, and Green Tea in Swedesboro to name a few. This place is a joke. I do not recommend at all.

Racially profiled from the door. Sat us in the back like Rosa parks. Never took our drink order. When asked what we wanted they snatched the menus back. The white family across from us got served everything in 5 mins when we were still sitting there 30 mins before they arrived. Would never spend an ounce of my black dollar there. Good luck to anyone of color who dines there.✊?
Sushi tasted great and was very fresh and flavorful, however I ordered shumai and they gave me a shrimp sushi roll instead.....also did not include chopsticks with my order and I had none left at home.
We ordered the chicken kara age and cucumber roll with cream cheese. The chicken kara age was crispy on the outside, very tasty. The cucumber roll with cream cheese was also delicious, offering a unique twist on a classic sushi roll.We also ordered the miso soup and a California roll. Everyone was very pleased with their choices. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious sushi in Haddonfield.
