It’s sad to see a good place go down. What once was a bustling coffee shop has become empty and full of jaded employees. Hiring matters, being welcome into a place matters. Greeting guest matters. Being to cool and woke for the community matters and that’s why it’s dead.

I am writing to formally express my disappointment with the treatment my friends and I received at Saxby’s Coffee Shop on June 21.

We visited the shop for coffee and sandwiches. While we received our coffee promptly, we waited approximately 25 minutes without receiving our food. Upon checking with staff, we were informed by the owner that the sandwich order had not been entered due to an error on their part. We responded calmly and simply asked that, when the sandwiches were ready, they be brought to us at the outdoor tables—since we had already waited a significant amount of time.

Instead of a courteous response, the owner came outside and confronted us in an aggressive and accusatory manner. He claimed we had been rude and obnoxious in making our request, which was entirely untrue. At no point were we disrespectful; we merely asked for a reasonable accommodation given the mistake.

His behavior was completely unprofessional and made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. After asking for a refund, he continued to raise his voice at us before eventually issuing the refund.

We will not be returning to this location, and we feel it’s important to bring this unacceptable treatment to patrons attention. What could have been a simple customer service correction turned into a hostile encounter that left us shaken and disappointed.

Saxbys in Haddonfield is my go-to for fabulous coffee. Any flavor on their huge menu will make any ☕️ lover happy. Try the Raspberry Swirl, hot, breve. Also, grab any of the baked goodies from LeBus or one of their tasty sandwiches. The owner, Michael, is very warm and welcoming. Say hello. He's a customer centric and cares about his business.

Been here multiple times, and for me the winner is their chai latte. The coffee, for me, is average. It is absolutely packed on the weekends, but weekdays it’s usually not too bad. The WiFi is a bit spotty so it may be difficult to get work done. Friendly service and lots of street parking!

Seating can be a bit question, but coffee is always a 10/10. Lines can get very long, but staff does their best to move quickly and keep drink wait times to a minimum.

Coffee sucks, the atmosphere is hostile, and the food is mediocre. The place is negative energy which is unusual for a coffee shop. Don’t recommend.

Cozy coffee shop with good coffee - and friendly staff. They have excellent hours - open later than some other coffee shops.

The prices were excessive for the quality of the food received. The smoothie was sour, and the cinnamon bun was stale. Although the establishment was busy, I waited for a while hoping a table would become available, but I ended up eating outside. I typically love mom-and-pop stores, but this experience was disappointing.

I visit this place often and stop by to grab coffee first thing in the morning to kick off my day. The season special drinks are worth giving a try, their menu for coffee has great picks. Also, I pair it often with some scone, mostly blueberry scone.
