Extremely disappointing…Friday Night candle light shopping and they have ONE guy working the entire front of house. Waited in line to be seated for close to 20 minutes, mind you it wasn’t even THAT busy (moderate) and there were multiple clean tables open. We had no choice but to walk out after feeling ignored! This was the same issue last year when we came for Friday Christmas shopping and they had ONE person working the entire restaurant. Just don’t know how you can run a restaurant like that. It’s pathetic honestly and quite sad bc I always enjoyed this place but never ever again. Esp after watching the chef come hobbling out of the kitchen to use the public bathroom in between cooking.

Tasty fish and chips and flavorful tartar sauce. Theirs is on the sweeter side. I got the large cod. The afternoon I went in there was only one server. She raced around and took care of the steady flow of customers.

They advertise afternoon tea on the website &window - tea and assorted finger sandwiches and pastries but when I order it they just brought a pot of tea. When I asked about the other stuff the waitress seemed to have no clue what I was talking about.

I’ve had plenty of fish and chips, sometimes wrapped in newspapers as a college kid in England, and this was incredible. Crisp. Delicious. Great chips, don’t judge me too harshly for the ketchup. Great music. The Clash played twice, and great brews to bring and share. It’s a walk back to memory lane to Newcastle in the early 90s. Service was fantastic. Highly personable!

Amazing! Absolutely loved the Scotch eggs and the tangy pickled veggies jam(?) Served with them. Most light and flakey fish and chips and just live the chip shop sarnie. Can't wait to return for the steak and kidney pie!! Can tell they take their tea seriously..Loved their unsweetened iced tea as well!!

This trip started with a YouTube video about a guy rating different chip shops in England. They served what they called "mushy peas". I had to have some. LOL. Googled fish and chips south jersey....this place came up. Less than an hour away. Good family day for shopping. Food was excellent. Fish and chips didn't disappoint. They had mushy peas. They were great. Will be back for Bangers & Mash!
