The chicken tikka was great, very flavorful, a little heavy with the seasoning/spices, but I liked that. The chili chicken wings were amazing, the perfect mix of spicy and sweet. The chicken lollipops would've been better if they had the sauce that the wings had. They were a little dry and lacking in flavor. The virgin mojitos are very sweet kind of similar to soda. Mango lassi was solid, not too bad, but not the greatest
Beautiful decor! The chicken tikka sandwich was okay. But I loved the masala fries. Didn’t like the samosa, it was filled with cumin seeds. The falooda shake was good but can be better with real falooda toppings. The struggle was that there wasn’t any menu. We were told the only way we can see the menu was to scan the QR code. Cool feature for a digital world. But unfortunately my phone died and I had to wait till my husband came to place my order. Very inconvenient. They should at least keep one printed version of the menu.
Great ambience, great street food like aloo tikki sandwich, chapli kebab sandwich, chicken tikka rolls. Doodh patti was exactly like back home in Lahore. There was only one server, and he was doing a great job serving everyone, personable, making great conversation. As they get busier, will definitely need more servers but a must visit. Btw plenty of street parking on a Saturday night when we visited
Beautiful decor. Average food. I expected sandwiches to be in bread and not dry naan. Pineapple margarita is tasty. Falooda milkshake was good too. Murgh cholay was average taste. Drinks and food are over priced.
This place is AMAZING. Food came out quick, fresh, and DELICIOUS. No wait time were seated comfortably, the restaurant decor was really nice. Kids loved it and want to go back. Service was great staff was Exceptional. I know my food very well and have gone and tried many places as well as I come from an ethnic background, I even cook myself. This place is highly recommended a hidden gem in NNJ. Food taste homemade and I mean like as if you flew to Pakistan for it. The staff are very friendly felt like I was invited to a family members home for dinner. Wish I could give it more then 5 stars. THANK YOU CHAI BABA FOR A WONDERFUL AND TASTFUL EVENING!!!
I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately I don’t think I would return for anything other than the chai. The food was just ok. Service was too slow. We were helped by two different servers. One of them was really nice and helpful. I think he might of been the owner. However, the second one was absolutely terrible. First he got us the wrong drink, then he forgot to bring out one of our meals (a sandwich) and his costumer service skills were just completely non-existent. We explained to him that we never had Pakistani food before and asked for some suggestions but he just said “We just have whatever is on the menu. You can look at the menu”. And then at the end, instead of leaving the check at our table and coming back for it after we were done paying, he literally stood on his tippy toes over my father’s shoulders watching him as he paid and calculated how much tip to leave. That is unacceptable.
Love the intentions, sincerity, and effort of this place. High quality ingredients. The owner and chef (Imran) asks for constructive criticism which tells me they’re seeking to always improve on a restaurant that’s been around for approximately a year. Will definitely come back, both for its brunch and dinner menus.
I have been meaning to try this place out for a long time, had the opportunity to do so on Friday. It’s a beautiful family owned restaurant serving Pakistani food.Me an my brother ordered almost everything and enjoyed each and everything we ordered. The owner is super nice and attentive to his customers.Food takes time because everything is made freshly and it’s honestly worth the wait, therefore be patience. It’s worth it.Thank you to the owner. We truly had amazing time. ?
