We went here on Saturday Easter weekend. Food was good but service was awful. Waitress who was serving us was showing unnecessary enthusiasm which was more of insulting. Her attitude was like “Order quickly I don’t have whole day” then she was rushing us with everything, almost checking every 5 mins. I mean too much follow up to the point you get annoyed. Then in the middle of our meal she gave us box without asking and assuming that we are done and want to pack up. This was only after 15 min we started eating. Right after 5 min she came and gave us the check again without asking. And her attitude was like “Be done quickly and leave”. I mean i have never felt this disrespectful in a restaurant.Point to note that I am 35 weeks pregnant and wanted to enjoy my brunch since I am hardly eating out these days. Her attitude of rushing us and being this rude was really hurtful.Even though we tipped her well since we believe in being thoughtful specially when it was Easter weekend.For us it's a BIG NO to this diner.

Exactly what a Jersey diner should be. Everything was delicious, reasonably priced, and fast. Great service too - they split the omelette / silver dollars for my twins onto two plates without even being asked to. Will definitely come again when in the area

I would just like to share my experience this evening at the whippany diner. My father is 93 years old and he frequent this diner at least five times a week. After spending $60 on dinner this evening the owner son informed me that I was not tipping enough on my bill, he proceeded to tell me that most people give 18%. I told him my father is on a fixed income and is here five times a week. He told me that the waitresses work on Tips. I informed him that I also industry that works on Tips. Never in my lifetime have I’ve been told that I have not tipped well enough on top of the bill that I paid in full. I was mortified and felt it necessary to leave this review.

I ordered the wrong way and I was a pain for the wonderful waitress...but in the end the food was wonderful!! Was all my fault! Will definitely be going back, and I will order correctly!!

Always a five star experience at what I consider to be one of New Jerseys top diners. Quick friendly staff and service. Coffee cups are always filled and the food comes out fresh and tasty every time.Hands down the best breakfast specials as well.

My wife and I had a great experience at the Whippany Diner!! We were greated by a very friendly smiling hostess, seated and then treated by an even friendlier waitress who was very knowledgeable and helpful.Their lemon soup was really good!!I had the calves liver dinner, and it was delicious!! My wife had a penneni with fries and said it was delicious!!Very clean, very friendly staff, its a great place to eat !!

Been here many times over the years and it just isn't what it used to be. I know I'm tough on diners, but we just didn't have a good experience with our last visit. We went on a Saturday, at lunchtime. We were seated right away, but then sat at our table waiting for a server for almost ten minutes. Finally had someone come over for our drink order (just some iced teas) and then we took more time to review the menu. We finally got our order in a few minutes later - I ordered a cup of chicken orzo soup and the Santa Fe Panini with well done fries and Wifey ordered a Turkey burger deluxe also with Fries well done. Food was just ok. Fries were NOT well done/crispy, my chicken panini was pretty bland and the very small piece of chicken only covered 2/3 of the bread. Wifey's burger was fine Service was ridiculously slow today. Table next to us had one order arrive then another five minutes later. The guy sat there complaining that his food was cold and the women, who ordered gluten free toast, had to wait even longer for that to arrive. Maybe they were just having a bad day, because we've had no issues before, but there are too many diners around to have a day like this.

Always my favorite place for dining. It's near my home and I like to come here again and again. The service, atmosphere and food all are excellent. The lady in the billing counter was wearing a nice specs ahead of the Valentine's day when I had last visited on 9th Feb.
