We always walk by this café and have been meaning to check it out to support a local business. We finally did so, one August Friday morning, at around 8:30. I had the corned beef hash platter, which comes with home fries, two eggs, toast, and coffee (free refills). Hubby had the french toast plate, which comes with meat, two eggs, and coffee/tea. It was your typical canned Hormel corned beef, which was what I was expecting. But sometimes, you just don't want to go buy a can, make it yourself, have to prep/cook all of the potatoes. There were not too many people dining there, since it was still a weekday after all - but I always see that it looked packed after a Sunday service. We sat outside, and people watched. Overall, it was a nice breakfast and a good way to start the weekend.

Very very cute sweet old fashioned coffee shop/luncheonette type place. We went for breakfast. Husband had three huge pancakes with fruits berries and bananas. I chose corned beef hash and poached eggs that came as a special with toast coffee and juice. . Reasonable prices, very attentive server. Food was ready quickly and we were checked on many times and coffee refilled. Very nice and delicious experience. Beautiful flowers out front where there were outdoor tables and umbrellas. Husband said restroom spotless. Def give this place a try. You won’t be sorry.

The ratings and reviews for this place are well deserved. It's a quaint old school diner cafe complete with a full restaurant-length counter outfitted with barstools. The decor would be at home in almost any decade and the staff of the perfect mix of accommodating, friendly, and tough (it's New Jersey!). The menu is traditional, but wow do they execute perfectly. I had the fluffiest Florentine omelette of my life. The potatoes were cooked just right, and even the toast was picturesque. This isn't fine dining; but it hits the mark precisely. I think the word here is "quintessential," or maybe "epitome." If an alien landed on earth asking what a breakfast Cafe in NJ is all about, you might just want to take them here.

Used to come here prices went up understandably for too much. I asked the owner how much two eggs and two pieces of toast did not want to answer me because I know two pieces toast and 2 eggs cheaper
