We were 4 seniors celebrating a birthday and enjoyed every minute of our evening at the Ivy Inn. We had wonderful service and food at a quiet corner table. I highly recommend the Ivy Inn.

Great food and wonderful service! Another special occasion at the Ivy Inn and more great memories. Thank you to the staff. Always friendly and welcoming. Complements to the chef food is delicious.

Opentable Diner

Food was pricey and they charged my son for soda refills without advising us. My chicken with mushroom ravioli was tasty but they substituted about 3 raviolis with cheese ravioli.

We have been coming here for years and still enjoy it. Ambiance and service were excellent. The food was just OK. Will be back.

Lunch was lovely. Great food, service and atmosphere. Shades in front could be up to make the dining room lighter. But decor is charming.

I had a lovely Valentines Day dinner and it was everything I hoped for. The place was set up very cute and romantic. The live piano music was the perfect touch and the service was excellent! Food was delicious!

We have enjoyed the ivy in several occasions but the last 2x have been underwhelming. This last time the calamari which was a special was overcooked and greasy ! The fish and chips well at any dive bar they could have done better. I expect more from the the ivy !!

THIS PLACE MADE MY BDAY A SHAME

I went there to celebrate my bday with 15 other people (all of us got the bottomless that costs 22$ per person + food), the place was empty and even though they took so long to bring our food.
I brought a birthday cake to sing a happy birthday to me. And then all of the sudden the manager told me that I would have to pay 5$ per person if I wanted to cut the cake??? What brings us to 80$ (for us to eat the cake that I bought) + the 20% service fee + the food +22$ for the bottomless mimosas.
I immediately went to speak to her and asked why? That just didn’t make any sense? I paid for the cake, they didn’t have to do ANYTHING, then she tells me that it’s the policy of the house and that it was business, they sell dessert, and that they were charging 5$ per person for the convenience! What convenience???
This is not convenient but a way to take advantage of people!

It was the most uncomfortable situation that I have ever been in. I always celebrate my bday in restaurant (much fancier that this one) with my friends and I was never charged for this. I am definitely not coming back or recommending this place to anyone.

I came home and we sang happy birthday here without having to pay 80$ for it!

Be better to don’t lose any more clients ;)

Came for a dinner with a medium sized group. The vibes of the place are so cozy and old-timey and it definitely is a unique spot! Service was good, and the owner was very nice. The food was good. Nothing blew us away. The sausage and broccoli Rabe was okay, the chicken crdonbleu was pretty good, and the lamb was a highlight, and the gnocchi was made well. Overall, a good spot, and the food was above average.

The manager, Lucy, she’s so rude and arrogant. I saw couple times she’s arguing with server in front of customers. Also, server didn’t do anything wrong. Busser and kitchen they both are too slow. Busser is waiting too much, disappearing a lot. Jack was nice. Place is good, but manager has to be changed. Seriously.

TERRIBLE MANAGER!! If you are going to apply this place for job, you have to think twice. Lucy is not as kind as she is. She was telling me to come early and on time she said "Do never be late!" and I didn't. BUT SHE DOES HERSELF! in my trainings when she was showing me the wine bottles, she was the way aggressive all time. "If I want you to come and get "X" bottle you must know where it is, and I don't accept I couldn't find it." trust me if you were in that wine room, you would even forget what you've been looking for. Also she always makes pressure but not her hispanic workers. She's always nice to them regardless of how many mistakes they do. She's always panicking and making others panic as well. Every server has different types of writing the orders. When I was doing mine she always says "You have to write like I do or you do not belong here." what kind of threat is this?? I'm taking my orders correctly. ridiculous! Moreover, she doesn't even speak English enough. When I ask her something she can't answer. She either keeps her silence or giving me irrelevant answer. One day I told her that customer wanted 2 more chocolate martini's, and she went to the customer, she didn't even believe me which is pathetic, and she prepared 2 classic martinis. When she went to the table customers said "we wanted chocolate martinis." Guess what happened next, she poured 2 martinis and prepared another one. "I ALREADY SAID THAT WHAT THE HELL!!" she even warned me many times about how unmerciful she is about wasting the order. If I did a mistake like that she probably made me paid drinks and fired me :D. One more thing, one day customer asked me to get the buffalo and honey mustard sauce. I was in my first days, so I asked her. SHE COULDN'T EVEN ANSWER JUST BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T KNOW EITHER!!! She was always putting the pressure on my shoulders with saying "If I say once that's it. There is no second time and NO MISTAKES!!!!!" I'm not a robot, none of us. I have to do several times, so I can remember. Lucy needs to be out ASAP. In first times I thought I was not serving good enough, but now I'm a server in a luxury restaurant ,and it's been 4 months they still looking for a server. I liked Jack, owner, he's nice and wants to teach something. I'm afraid Lucy is the quite opposite. She refused 2 times to provide me a meal after my shift. She said herself "you can get yourself food right after your shifts for free."
What a arrogant person.

Fantastic! If you're a local add it to your short list! When we have friends visiting who need a romantic night out to themselves we always recommend this place.

Parking can be limited, just make sure you have a reservation on busy nights but it's worth a visit for the charm and hospitality. The biergarden is great too or sitting outside for an after dinner drink is nice. The staff are welcoming and the dining room is dim and romantic. Table cloths and cloth napkins, lit votives really set the stage for a nice evening out. Classic American menu is thoughtfully prepared and not overly inventive but also not overplayed, great crew in this kitchen. Table service is remarkable and attentive but not overly so. They have quite the beverage list and do have some house wines by the glass, albeit off the menu. Pricing is incredibly reasonable.

I only wish we had found this place sooner. Granted we've only lived in Lodi for a year now, but I have driven by the Ivy and wondered what it was about for some time.

Very romantic. Good food, not too many options on the menu
