What an amazing place to eat authentic Persian food. The minimalist decor, the service and welcome and finally the food and drinks, just outstanding. Chef Shaheen makes you feel like you’re sitting in your favorite aunty’s dining room, eating food cooked with pure love. It is a BYOB, but the non-alcoholic drinks they serve are not to be missed. A local gem, that stays true its roots or hospitality and great food.

Zaffron Bloom is an absolute GEM in Hasbrouck Heights. The family owned restaurant offers authentic Persian cuisine cooked fresh to order. The owners are extremely kind and will always do their best to make sure the food is good and you enjoy yourself. I’ve been looking for some authentic persian food for a while and this is easily my top choice in NJ. Seriously if you are ever in the area and are considering going here it is well worth it.
The food is cooked fresh when you order so take some time to enjoy the atmosphere and menu. They have everything from homemade cultural teas to fantastic kebabs and desserts. Not to mention their food is Halal for anyone curious. Like I said before if you want to enjoy some genuine Persian food there is no where else to look!

Zaffron Bloom is truly a hidden gem! This family-owned Persian restaurant in NJ made me feel like part of their family from the moment I walked in. The service was exceptional — attentive, kind, and genuinely caring.
I started with the cucumber mint limonada, which was incredibly refreshing. Their signature tahdig was crispy, flavorful, and still warm when it arrived — absolute perfection. The hummus and eggplant dip were both seasoned so well. I also had the cheese cigars, which were fresh, perfectly crispy, and absolutely delicious.
For the main course, I tried the chicken kebab and the lamb/beef kebab, both seasoned to perfection and paired with fragrant, flavorful rice. And to end on a sweet note, the pistachio baklava was the perfect finale — light, nutty, and complimented the main course so well.
It’s so clear that every dish is made with love, passion, and care. Between the warm ambiance, thoughtful service, and incredible food, Zaffron Bloom made for a perfect lunch — and I can’t wait to come back!

From the moment you walk in, you’re treated like family. The portions are generous, the flavors are bold and delicious, and the service was incredible. We tried the mint lemonade and it was very refreshing. We ordered the dips trio for an appetizer and demolished it, along with the marinated olives. For the main, we ordered the second combo platter with the saffron rice with barberries and Shirazi salad and the meats were tender and flavorful, and the rice was cooked perfectly and had a bold and yummy flavor. After buying enough food for a small family (just me and my partner), they even gave us a free Persian cream puff to try that was so tasty we had to buy them out.

My original review was: “If you are hungry, do not go there because you have to wait at least an hour to eat something. The service is very slow, not friendly, and the food is overpriced and not worth it.”
Your reply was disappointing and unprofessional, as you dismissed it as a “fake review.”
I wrote my review based on my real experience as a paying customer. I’m not anonymous, nor is this review fake. I waited over an hour before receiving my food, and the service felt inattentive during my visit. Regardless of other customers’ experiences, mine was different and disappointing. Instead of dismissing feedback with sarcasm, it would be more constructive to focus on consistency in service.
Although I’m familiar with these cultural styles of response from some owners, here, instead of being defensive and unprofessional, please address the issues. There is no doubt your food is somewhat better than other Persian restaurants, but your prices are also higher. At times I even wonder if you are both the chef and the owner, because whenever I visit you appear nervous and aggressive, and I often have to wait 10 minutes for you to come out of the kitchen just to take my order.

absolutely LOVE this place, and so glad I found it! me and my girlfriend ordered from here all the time when we were in college- she has alot of dietary restrictions and this is the only place that has food that she can eat AND tastes good! the chicken kebabs and tahdig are our favorites! every time we called after ordering on doordash to explain the dietary restrictions, they were very helpful, and if something was listed on doordash but was out of stock they would recommend something else to us within her dietary restrictions. Overall, Zaffron Bloom has extremely kind owners and staff and delicious and affordable food!

The food is sooooooo good. We had the combo for 2-3 ppl which is an assortment of Persian meats and the lamb in that dish is to die for! The meats are tender, juicy, perfectly seasoned. The saffron rice is super light and fluffy. Also had the 3 dip trio as an appetizer with the hummus and the eggplant dip with caramelized onions and all of their fresh drinks are stupendous. I especially loved that cucumber mint lemonade. The portions are large and filling. There is nothing you can order on this menu that is not delicious. The service is 10/10. It’s a family owned business and the dad who is also one of the chefs came out to check on us and explain the assortment of meats we were about to enjoy and to make sure we liked our meal. The daughter Anna is beautiful and so kind and knows all of the top menu items and what to try. The service is top notch. You feel the love in how they cook your food and the care for their customers. I’m looking forward to going back and trying different menu items and bringing more of my family to experience.
