“What a place with an old time feel! They are on their game, we ordered on the road 10 minutes out and when we showed up our food was waiting for us. After looking around the building, they have a great condiments bar for all your needs! All the employees were working to get people their food and everything from the kitchen that was on the shelf for customers looked awesome! We got cheese burger clubs and some dogs, which were awesome! Bathrooms and everything was very clean and these guys definitely pay attention to detail on everything! In conclusion, all the food we had was great and these guys will see a surge in patronage as word of mouth goes along way. We just stopped in for a quick lunch on coming home from the beach, and the place continued to fill up as we were there! Johnny, Christos, and company are doing a great job and we will be back very often, because their food and menu options are that good! As I am writing, my wife continues to tell me about the food choices available from the Lantern, which is making me hungry as I write this! You boys have a great thing going and keep it up as we will be continuous customers moving forward!

“First time stopping in. The food was great. And the price was very reasonable. The place has great atmosphere, clean & so much to choose from. Staff was super friendly. Especially Brooks, who went above & beyond helping us try decide what to order. I'm not kidding when I say everything looked so good. He kindly gave different suggestions. He took time to explain different options, what they were and how they were made. Any questions or requests we had were met with nothing but kind responses. Will definitely be back!“

“The lady at the front desk was so kind . We visited from Alabama and thoroughly enjoyed eating at this establishment. I was blown away by the quality of the meat as well as the delicious sauce they had on the double burger. “My first visit to this restaurant on August 21st, 2025 was a resounding success, with the food being truly exceptional. The grilled salmon, accompanied by onion rings and vegetables, was a highlight, and our waitress, Jean, provided attentive and friendly service, making us feel right at home. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant for its outstanding cuisine, service, and ambiance. Oh btw, the complementary bread alone is worth the trip!“

“This was the best blizzard I've ever had. All other dairy queens I've been to have made me either wrong blizzards or liquidy blizzards and God forbid they ever flip it as the dairy queen motto says. They brought us the blizzards, flipped it in front of us and they were better tasting than any blizzards I've ever had. The food was fantastic, better than any fast food place I've ever been to. I am astonished by the quality of this place. The only thing I'm disappointed in is that it isn't closer to my house.“

“I haven’t been to The Barn since my kids were young, but we visited Abma’s farm today for the hayride with my daughter and granddaughter and stopped at The Barn for dinner after. What a delight! The staff were so welcoming and child-friendly. I have never been anywhere as child-friendly in Bergen County. Their outside seating area is perfect for families with young children in tow. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.“

“First thing first, the price I paid for a burger with fries and a drink was surprising because it was cheaper then I expected. “What you would expect from Dairy Queen as far as a soft serve cone. What separates this place is its old school DQ vibe. The building with that red roof is just like back in the day. The inside and outside was really clean on my visit. So added points for the attention to detail. Will have to get this photo on the Golden Cone App as well.“
