My family and I came into town and were looking for a local eatery. We had hoagies, pizza, garlic knots and a pickle. The pickles are huge, the grandma pizza was awesome, the personal pizzas were bigger than expected and the chicken parm was cheesed and sauced to perfection. The half hoagies were gigantic. The meat and the veggies were fresh. Needless to say we were very happy with the food and the service was awesome!

I've been going here for a long time, usually no issues. Especially under old management.. Recently went and wasn't particularly happy, I ordered roast beef with American cheese and gravy. The sandwich was doused in gravy the bread was completely soaked and soggy, there was not a spot on the roll that wasn't covered in gravy meaning the outside also. I also ordered steak fries with old bay WELL DONE, that were soggy also, they were also doused in old bay extremely too much.. not the greatest experience this time..

Great sandwiches, but the prices are through the roof. I paid $50.00 for two subs. The following week I bought two Subs the same size at Troops in Clifton, and paid $20.00.

An iconic sandwich shop reinvented. Boagie’s is a Hawthorne staple and the go-to for a stellar lunch. I had the broccoli rabe chicken cutlet with provolone and spicy mayo. The bread is thinner than the old Boagies and the sandwiches not as “loaded” and you’re paying more than you used to but make no mistake…this sandwich will spark your tastebuds and leave you “mmm”ing until the last bite.

Everytime I call I get a lady on the phone with very bad attitude, so bad that this is the first time in my life I’m leaving a review on anything. I called for a chipotle wrap and she asked what do I want on it, I said whatever you guys usually put. She said ( WITH ATTITUDE ) well ok then just chicken and chipotle and that’s what I got no lettuce nothing wick is fair, fine. I call again next week for a chipotle wrap and she didn’t ask what I want on it so I told her lettuce cheese and she cut meOff and said WITH ATTITUDE “well that’s what it comes with… chicken wraps come with lettuce and cheese already”. The complete opposite of what she said last week which leads me to believe she just wants to argue.

Some places don't deserve multiple chances. I finally got to try Bogie's Philly cheesesteak. Even the peppers and onions were bland. This was the most boring, tasteless sandwich I've ever had. Everyone at the restaurant is very nice and the prices are great for the portions, but there's just zero flavor!!
