My husband works in Hawthorne and we we’re looking for a good Italian restaurant. After Google reviews we decided to order from Ossy’s and we are so glad we did. When you first walk in the atmosphere is nostalgic and authentic. The staff is so warm and welcoming. I spoke with Ken the last time to place our order and he was a total sweetheart. We have ordered from them twice so far and their food is second to none. You can taste their passion for food. My husband ordered the Chicken Napolitano both times and said it was out of this world delicious. My son ordered Rigatoni with Vodka sauce and practically licked his plate clean!! I ordered Chicken Marsala and Chicken Sorrentino and it was one of the best I have ever had. Yes this is coming from a Jersey Italian whose family once owned a restaurant in Newark so my standards are very high. We did takeout but we are looking forward to bringing the family to the restaurant for a sit down meal. If you are looking for a great Italian restaurant look no further. Ossy’s is your place!

This restaurant transports you back in time. Sure, some would say it’s outdated and maybe they’re right. I would say it reminds me of my childhood when restaurants were enjoyed because of the food, atmosphere, music and aesthetic. Ossy’s has it all.
The food was good and portions were great. It’s been owned and operated for 38 years, which says all you need to know. They’re doing something right and I look forward to more lunches and dinners at this locale.

We recently moved to the southern beaches of North Carolina and we have yet to find Ossy's South. The Pork Chops, Steak Arribata and the Veal. What most miss are Eddie, Kenny ( our daughter now has a three year old.) and Micheal, please keep the espresso and Sambucco coming. I promise our next trip north will include Ossy's. For anyone else please visit and enjoy the great food and owners of Ossy's

Food was horrible. Over salted dirty greasy tasting. Bad cheese had a vinegar taste so probably expired. Place was dated and dirty. No reason for anyone to ever eat here. Way better food at a local pizzeria. Oh and lots of fruit flies they join you at your table as extra dinner guests.

We all threw up after we ate there and the owner was so cheap , he never offered my family anything ! He was angry and hostile and blamed us for all . Never again ! Awful owner and food isn’t fresh

What an amazing experience!
Just took a trip down to NJ for work, waiting for a pick-up near-by so I stopped in for lunch. It was a quiet afternoon but as I walked up and a nice gentleman greeted me and asked me to sit down with him at his table, little did I know it was the owner. At first I wasn’t sure if I was imposing as I’m from the Midwest and we do not like to make anyone uncomfortable, but his son came out and got me a menu and pretty soon all three of us were sharing stories, laughing, talking about the past, and just having an absolute wonderful time. Both the owner and his son made me feel at home, and WOW the food was good!!! I can’t recommend this restaurant enough, and I can’t wait to bring my wife here for a special evening and hopefully she’ll get to meet these two wonderful humans!

Amazing dining experience. Had the Rack of Lamb and it just melted in your mouth. My hats off to the wait staff A VERY BIG THANK YOU. We were there to celebrate my moms 89 birthday and she was so pleased. Again highly highly recommend and I will be back again.
