Biked the Columbia Trail on 10/21/24 and stopped here for ice cream. Ice cream was delicious and enjoying it by the creek was lovely. Proceeded home, 3 hr trip. After arriving home, found out my wallet was missing. Called Gronsky's Milk House and was told someone had turned it in. THANKS TO THE GOOD SAMARITAN! Gronsky's Milk House promptly mailed my wallet to me ($5.55 charge they paid) and received it on 10/24/24. Everything was in tact in my wallet (Driver License, Health Insurance Card, Bank Card, 2 credit cards, and $40 in cash). So, not only do they have yummy ice cream, but they have wonderful integrity and service. I will surely visit this place again if I'm in the area. Thanks again from a PA Resident Living 3 Hours Away

I have breakfast here whenever I'm in the area and definitely recommend the eggs with in-house corned beef hash - so yummy! The staff are all pros and take great care of you. The ultimate antidote to bland, boring chain restaurants, Gronsky's is a gem and must-visit for breakfast or ice cream.

We drove all the way from Brooklyn to Clinton Nj to try out this place. The pancakes are large and cranchy. We went there to try the pancakes and they didn't disappoint. The other food items were good too. It's by a creek so during summer outside is very pretty.

ive been here like 10 times and every time i went i told them to only give me a little bit because im allergic to dairy but they just refused to serve me a few minutes ago because apparently they aren't allowed to serve people with an allergy anymore. i told them i have an inhaler so ill be fine and they still said i cant have the ice cream EVEN THOUGH THEY ALREADY SCOOPED IT! so then they threw it out and i had to leave without the ice cream i drove 15 minutes for.

Horribly degrading experience: They rudely made several excuses on why they didn't want to serve my family.
I walk in with my pregnant wife and two small children, say "hello we've never been here before and want to sit outside in one of the tables by the river."
At first we are told sure but we have to order takeout with no service, ok.
Then we are told we could only get sandwiches to go, even though there were 2 families at other tables outside with full service.
Explicitly "no pancakes outside" .... Wtf?
My daughter falls to the ground crying when told she cannot eat pancakes outside. Staff see this and walk away callously. We leave to cool the children off and I walk back in to clarify that we just want to eat breakfast at one of THEIR tables outside.
This is when they went full degenerate mode.
I ask them again if we could just get regular breakfast and I put it in a to-go container, clarifying that we just want to eat outside by the river, and was told again by the now strangely nervous lady that only sandwiches are to go.
I ask why and the chef butts in shouting that the "grill isn't big enough" .
What? That doesn't make any sense.
So I ask: "but if I sit inside then the grill is big enough?"
"that's right" he says.
"Ok" , I respond, "then what if we order breakfast and my kids don't finish it and ask for a to-go container?"
With a smug sh eating grin he says "then I throw your food in the trash."
That was the last straw.
I told them off and walked out.
Don't have outside seating if you're going to have made up on the spot rules on how people get to sit at your restaurant. And don't be in the restaurant business if you're going to be so down right mean to potential customers.
Maybe they misunderstood?
We JUST WANTED TO EAT BREAKFAST AT THEIR OUTDOOR SEATING like the other families were doing and we were made to feel like garbage about it.
I hope the owner finds out about this. We drove far to come here to enjoy the pancakes we heard so much about, we did not come to be belittled and insulted by the staff.

Drove 20 minutes based off reviews to have pancakes with our small children to celebrate the last day before our kids start school and were told we could not order breakfast and sit outside, although there were ample tables open and people sitting outside. We didn’t expect service outside. Just to order our food and take it outside. We asked if we sat down at a table inside and didn’t finish our food, would we be allowed to take it to go and they said no and they they’d throw it away. Needless to say my 3 and 5 year old left crying and disappointed. We are very disappointed in this restaurant and there lack of hospitality.
The food is absolutely incredible! I would classify this as some of the best breakfast food that I have ever had and I would give it probably 7600 Stars....if possible. However breakfast food is something that needs to be eaten immediately in my opinion. Let me just say that there is zero comfortable places to eat this absolutely off the chart delicious food. It's really a sad situation for me... Because I have to travel to get there so even if I was going to take out it's not workable for me. If you go as a couple you get the tiniest little table so the breakfast that you order will not fit on your table because the portions are so gigantic that they have to serve most meals on two plates. Sitting outside it's kind of nice but again the table situation....nightmare. and then there is the counter which seems like a reasonable option however they are using part of the counter as a workspace. In addition to that watching them prep this absolute deliciousness is not ideal. Take it from someone who's in the food industry....watching this pure CULINARY MASTERY happen ain't pretty. So I really want to give this place 500,000 Stars.....for DELUCIOUSNESS & portion size....but...it's really uncomfy so within the star allotment that I have been given it is not perfect and I gave it a ding for my discomfort. THAT SAID ....GO HERE! IT'S INCREDIBLE.

Don’t expect good service if you’re coming here. 2nd time I decided to stop by for lunch and they’re not very welcoming. snippy and in a rush. I get it they get busy but should still remain kind.
2nd time around I missed the food window. Which I wasn’t aware of, doesn’t mention it online either. Apparently they stop serving food around 2pm on weekdays and only serve ice cream. I was standing there like an idiot. They saw me and passed by me multiple times before I decided to ask. The food is good bad but just be prepared for a snarky attitude and lack of service

1st time in the 7 years I’ve been placing orders for take-out and was disappointed. Tried to place a request for a double side of bacon and the response was “we can’t do that. It would take too long on the grill when we have other orders”. What????? When I’ve been placing the same request bi-monthly for years and have always been served. Unbelievable.
