Scout's Coffee Bar + Mercantile

Before our bike trip, my husband and I stopped by this café for coffee. He ordered an espresso, and I chose a cappuccino. The café has a great atmosphere—nicely decorated with various tables. Despite it not being busy and having several staff members, we had to wait quite a while for our coffee. There are no waiters here, so you need to pick up your coffee yourself and bring it to your table, and after drinking, return the cups to the dish bin. The coffee was a bit acidic for our taste, but the cappuccino was reasonably well-made—it was served in a proper small cup with frothed milk. All in all, it’s a very nice café.

BEST coffee shop :) Great sweet treats, fabulous avocado toast, and incredible homemade coffee drinks. The vibe is **IMMACULATE** and I love how it's a very welcoming, inclusive space that feels like a cozy hug for the community.

I usually stop by Scouts on Fridays when they open at 7:30, but today I noticed staff arriving at 7:22. This made me think the setup would be delayed, which likely means no fresh-baked goods ready right at opening. Unfortunately, it didn’t seem worth waiting for breakfast this time.

Wonderful coffee shop on the main drag in High Bridge. Delicious lattes and fresh baked goods in a large comfortable space, served by a friendly staff. Great place to sip and work or just hang out.

When it’s good it’s good they just literally never have any of the good muffin flavors

Decent little place with some nice vegan options. It's a shame they overcharge for adding cruelty free soy milk instead of the abusive hairy milk that's probably more expensive.

I work near this shop during the summer. I passed through this morning and was happy to see them still in business. I got a cold brew with lavender and oat milk( so yummy). Thanks, guys!

This is THE place to go when visiting High Bridge. Too bad they don’t have a decent lunch menu. Love the owners and staff. Fun events too.

Parking: Free parking on street out front but sometimes gets busy. Side streets and nearby lots also available.

I went to a story slam and had a great time. The stories were entertaining and thoughtful and full of a bit of laughter and a couple tears. I highly recommend it.

If it were humanly possible to give additional stars I would. Made two trips to the town (second trip was just to go to the coffee bar which was closed Sat) I was blown away by the service,drinks the baked goods. I made a NOT guilty choice of buying one of everything that looked good.. and I have to say EVERYTHING was so delicious not overly sweet and so filled with flavor.. They have a absolutely perfect treasure with their baker. And no I'm not related,lol. But I will make my business to go again and again.
