Met at the door very friendly. Place is super cool and very clean. serving staff warm and professional started with a bottle of the oyster Bay Savignon Blanc had the steamers which are my favorite share the royal seafood, fisherman's platter and a pound and a quarter lobster everything was outstanding one of the best seafood meals ever.
This restaurant will always be one of my favorite! My husband and I went tonight and once again had a wonderful experience. Our waitress, Renee, was absolutely outstanding—friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. The menu is one of the best in the area, and we are always happy with both the food and the service. I truly cannot say enough great things about this place. Highly recommend!

Bahr's is usually where we go for birthday celebrations. We always get good food and drink & a nice window view. The service is always excellent. This time it was particularly good. Unfortunately, I can't remember the older woman's name. She worked lunch Friday February 6th . She was so sweet & Helpful. There is a wide variety of drinks & I loved my mussels.
Great legendary spot w amazing views and a wonderful owner. Great food and hospitality.

Had a really festive New Year’s Day meal here. The menu was full of delicious options. We had a beautiful view of the water from our table, great service, and delicious meals (the lobster was fantastic). A great place to ring in the new year!

We wanted to celebrate the New Year and decided a drive to Sandy Hook on a cold sunny day, followed by a delicious dinner at Bahrs would be great! We were so right, the drive was lovely and Bahrs was exceptional. The food, drinks, service and atmosphere were all outstanding. This restaurant never fails to impress, regardless of the season. Outstanding all around.👏👌😋
Best place to go for NYE. Staff friendly. They do a 9pm midnight count down. So much fun. This will be our new place for NYE.
We've visited this restaurant many times (and will do so in the future) and have always had great experiences, but unfortunately, this time was a bit different. It might have been due to the off-season, as things seemed a little slower than usual. Our server appeared to be unfamiliar with the menu, and a few of our dishes came out a bit differently (wrong) than expected. The food was also lukewarm, which was disappointing. That being said, we still love this place and will definitely be back, likely during the busy Spring or Summer season when things are a bit more lively. We're hopeful for a return to the quality we've always enjoyed here!

I dont eat seafood, but when I do, its at Bahr's. I prefer their 1.5-2lb grilled Lobster (without stuffed crabmeat) and corn on the cob. Excellent staff and exceptional food!! Great for family and friend gatherings

Food was almost perfect. The Clam chowder was spot on, the entrees were perfect, the only negatives were Veggies were overcooked and the creme brulee was cold. Waitstaff were very friendly and attentive.

I rarely write reviews, however, my experiences at this restaurant are consistently amazing from start to finish.
Our group of 4 decided to go to Bahrs for our monthly dinner together. We were very disappointed with the food. We all agreed that out of the 10 or so restaurants we visited this was our least favorite. We started with 4 appetizers: Yellowfin Nachos( very disappointing), Fried Calamari(taste like it came from the supermarket), Popcorn Shrimp(very tasty) and Crab & Artichoke Dip(very good). Now for the entrees: Stuffed flounder, the vegetables were from frozen not fresh and the mashed potatoes taste like they were from a box. The Fisherman's Platter was bland and tasteless. The two orders of Crab Cake were just ok. The vegetables were bland , they were frozen not fresh . Because of the quality of our experience, we all agreed that picking a water side seafood restaurant in the off-season may not have been a wise choice. Our server was excellent. We will never dine there again.
