If you are looking for casual dining along the water, you will not be disappointed - but do not expect “special” or “exceptional” twists to tried and true classics ...... the food is SIMPLE FARE in every sense.
We have been going to Bahrs for a long time. We love it. It's a fantastic place and we always have the best waitress. I don't know her name but she's great. It's where we take people from out of state when they're here. It's just a great place to go to.
We always enjoy our time at Bahr's. Weather was perfect for outdoor seating however a little too dog friendly for our liking. Lobsters were cooked to perfection and French fries and coleslaw enjoyed by all. A favorite restaurant even in the winter months so we will be back!
Many choices of food ... beautiful atmosphere .. server was pleasant and professional ... just would have liked a bit more time between dinner and dessert ... as soon as plates were taken away she was asking for dessert.
We had a great time food and service was great. We went at noon on a Tuesday and it was not to crowed so conversation was easy with limited background noise.
I'm 63 and my family has been enjoying Bahrs since 1938. Still family owned owned and Old School Jersey Shore. Their classic dishes remain proudly in demand with rotating inventive specials. Oktoberfest is a must.
Bahrs is the classic seafood restaurant with beautiful views and fresh seafood! Lobster rolls were amazing! Packed with meat! Chowder was also tasty and packed with fresh clams. Nothing like seafood on the Jersey shore!
We enjoyed celebrating my daughter's birthday at Bahrs. The food and atmosphere were excellent. The only suggestion for improvement would be to time the courses better. Two of the meal corses were served slightly on top of each other. The service team was courteous and attentive. It was a slow night due to the weather, so the kitchen may have been outpacing the waitstaff.
They got us in right away. Service was excellent. Food was excellent. Such a beautiful view. Our server was fantastic. Really appreciated it.
Don't order the shrimp scampi - no garlic, a “hint” of lemon, butter, wine - again, just a hint of- it was shrimp over linguine in pasta water. Hubby had the twin lobsters which he enjoyed but nowhere to put shells in and was served in a very small plate which wasn't easy. They must of ran out of spinach as there was none on his oysters rockerfellers. One of the claws on the lobsters wasn't cracked, asked for cracker, never came.

Donna was our server. She took good care of us. It was a pleasurable experience. Thank you.
Great experience at Bahr's. Food was great, service attentive. We had the broiled platter with 2 lobster tails and the stuffed flounder. We sat outside, which was lovely! Inside is a very nice sit-down place, but we were looking for casual outdoors and it was perfect. Can't wait to return!
Was a fabulous experience! Loved the food, our server Renee and the decor! Had the blueberry crumble for dessert - outstanding and I had a soft shell crab sandwich and fried calamari - also excellent. Will definitely be back!❤️❤️
Got there a little early but got seats at the bar...tender was great and we got our yummy food fairly quickly considering the size of the crowd...delicious as expected!
My husband and I enjoyed the dinner on August 9th. The server was courteous and friendly. The only thing I was disappointed was about my order. I ordered a Broiled Sampler. It says cod in the menu but a piece of flounder was served.
