The food and service were fine, not great, but fine. Everything was dirty though. We asked for a high chair and a booster seat for our two children. They were brought to our table in desperate need of a wipe down, which we did ourselves. The table hadn't been wiped down, the menus were greasy and/or sticky and there was a large sticky patch under our table that was clearly a spilled drink that was never properly cleaned up. I could see this place being good for grabbing a drink after fishing on the beach or a long day of birding, but not for a sit down meal.

Service was a little slow. Had to find our server that was doing two jobs instead of one. But would definitely go back to try again.

Killer pretzel and burgers. Chicken sandwich was worth bring home to finish. The seasonal spiked hot apple cider was delicious.

I gave the place a second chance and brought a friend for a late lunch during the week. The server was pleasant and helpful. I enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The idea of updating the old army corral building into a restaurant/tavern is great. The historic area and water views are wonderful. The first visit, our server wasn't with it and never brought us the small plates we asked for to share the appetizers.
