There are two bars inside an area off to the side, where bands come to play after 7 pm. The venue has porta potties and a trailer with a more stable bathroom nearby. Visitors can bring their chairs and umbrellas to enjoy the small but spacious beach area, which has tables and umbrellas on a first-come, first-served basis. Some lawn seating is available as well. The water is incredibly calm, making it safe for swimming, and people were playing catch and having a great time in the calm and cool water. Visitors can walk around in the sand with no shoes, and the lively atmosphere is enhanced by live music and friendly staff. For convenience, visitors can take the Seastreak ferry directly to The Sandbox, making it easy to reach without a car.
