First time coming here and I really wanted to like the place because it would be super convenient to go to. The inside is super clean, very cozy and inviting. Friendly customer service where the hostess and even chefs will say hello and good bye.

One strange thing, if you ask for water, they bring out water bottles. Some people may not care, but it was surprising to me.
99% of dine-in businesses will tell you if they only have bottled water available.

Unfortunately the sushi was terrible. Nothing tasted fresh at all. My wife's yellow tail roll was all mush, not one full cut of fish in any of the 6 pieces. It was so bad she couldn't finish it. All the seaweed wrapping tasted horrible. My philly rolls were insanely salty which I think may have been from cheap cream cheese and smoked salmon. The tuna may have been decent, but again the seaweed totally ruined it. My wife and I also experienced severe heart burn after eating here, which NEVER happens when we have sushi. Overall this place was a huge let down.

There are much better places in Somerville, Somerset, Hillsborough and Raritan to get fresh and tasty sushi.

Sushi is good but not worth the terrible, terrible, can I say terrible again? Service. I’ve been in person where we were basically ignored in favor of online orders. So then we started ordering online and have had a similarly awful experience. Tonight we waited 2.5 hours for food which came incomplete and without chopsticks or soy sauce. Go elsewhere.

So, I know that the restaurant is not responsible for UberEats. However, they contract with them so they bare some of the responsibility. When I owned a restaurant for 7 years we used delivery services and if one of them made a mistake in the delivery, I as the owner might not have been directly responsible but if the delivery service messes up that is a reflection on my business and if I want to retain the customer I did everything in my power to fix it. Without a doubt I always replaced the order and usually gave them a 25 dollar gift to make up for the bad experience. As the owner, I then had more power and leverage to call the delivery company and complain about what just happened and I always did and that lead to some action being taken. Otherwise, no one is held accountable. We did call Hiroshi sushi but they said call UberEats and in the end we didn't get our food or a credit. My full story is below!!!

My wife and I never use delivery apps, but we have a 19-month-old child, and my wife just had surgery, so our friends got us UberEats gift cards so we wouldn't have to worry about cooking dinner. We ordered 137 dollars worth of sushi. That might sound like a lot, but it isn't when you factor in tips and all the fees. The only problem is we never received the order. The driver said it was delivered and took a picture, but it wasn't our address, which should have been evident since our townhome number is 3C and not 2C, which is apparent in the image. After getting no place via the chat function in the app, I finally called customer service, and to say they didn't care would be an understatement. Their preprogrammed response to me saying I didn't get my food wasn't "Oh so sorry, let us replace it for you" or "OMG, that is horrible, let me have give you a credit."Nope, it was, "According to our GPS tracking, the driver delivered the food to a close enough drop-off zone." I explained to them I had no food and that I didn't know where 2C was because we live among many townhomes that have 2C as an address, and it was 8 degrees outside and -1 with windchill, so I wasn't going to wander around in the dark to find it. Again, they reiterated that they were sorry, but the driver was close enough, so we can't give you a refund or replacement. I owned a restaurant for 7 years and used delivery services, and I was appalled that after speaking with a few people, it was perfectly acceptable that the driver dropped my food at the wrong address, but it was close enough, and they were made aware I had no food and did nothing about it. So, I was out a 137 dollars, and hungry. After some careful digging around, I realized that in the app, my address had the location with 3C, but on the receipt, it omitted the 3C from the address. So I called back to explain it, and they sort of acknowledged it but then said the driver got close enough, according to their tracker, and won't do anything about it.

I used to be a big fan of this place when they first opened. But they’ve changed their recipe and are now using Kirkland shrimp tempura on their shrimp tempura rolls ☹️ it’s just not the same anymore as when they used freshly made shrimp tempura! And it makes the rolls enormous when sushi is supposed to be bite sized 👎🏻

Food is great but every time I dine in I regret it. Service is soooo slow. Takes forever to just get glasses let alone food. Waited 45 min for sushi that’s not even cooked. I used to live closer so would just do take out as that’s what they seem to prioritize. If you live close order take out, otherwise don’t bother if you are hungry.

This just became our new lunch spot. This was the best Japanese meal we’ve ever had without a doubt. We came in for lunch on wednesday and we went back today because the food is just that good. I was never a big fan of raw fish but it wasn’t until I came here that I realized it is because I’ve never had good quality sushi. I recommend the gyoza, best I’ve ever had as well as the Pink Lady Roll. OH and the miso soup is sooo delicious. Honestly just try everything on the menu, we sure will!

Sushi has been delicious. Usually get the party platter. Only thing I wish they would let you do is give you options for the party platter. I'd like to pick and choose the sushi rolls or at least the one special rolls we get.

This unpresuming sushi restaurant is a hidden gem. The sushi is fresh, and there are plenty of options for those that don't want raw fish.
The freshness and quality of the ingredients were evident in every bite, and it was surprisingly filling.
The lunch specials are perfect value for money!.

This restaurant was such a sweet surprise. The food was 10 out of 10. The curb appeal does not match how cuuute and inviting the place is inside. We will definitely be back again and again.
