I truly appreciate the effort of small, family-run restaurants, but unfortunately my recent experience at Ricky’s Thai was disappointing. The red curry with extra chicken did not meet expectations—the flavor was lacking, and the chicken had the texture of being frozen and bland rather than freshly prepared.
I was also surprised at how quickly the order was ready (about 5–7 minutes for a red curry), which raised concerns about the quality and freshness of preparation. Additionally, utensils have been repeatedly left out of Grubhub orders, which makes takeout less convenient.
Lastly, I’ve noticed that customer service can sometimes feel a bit rushed and impatient, particularly from the older woman who works there, which left a discouraging impression.
I truly hope these issues can be addressed, as I know many people—including myself—want to support local Thai cuisine in the community.

Such mid to subpar Thai food. Why does the chicken always taste like it’s gone bad?! UGH.

I am not entirely pleased, and I believe improvements could be made. Please consider the customer feedback on each dish and make adjustments accordingly.

Red curry was flavorful, and the service was good. There are plenty of seats and parking. Ricky's Thai, whether in Montgomery or Hillsborough, does not disappoint.
Really good food especially the quality taste and quantity. We loved the yellow curry and the brocolli rice. It is BYOB and has vegetarian options as well.

Best thai food in somerset county! Always so good and service is very fast. Highly recommend :)
I'm a creature of habit. If I find a dish I like, I keep ordering it. Their duck noodles are outstanding. My wife usually has the Pat Thai with shrimp. Last trip we tried a dish which had fried duck and vegetables; sorry, can't remember the name. They give discounts if you order on line and pick up the food, I think as much as 20% off. For their appetizers, you might try their fried chicken dumplings but they were a bit pricey; I think 9.75 for four dumplings. The other appetizer is their Satay. I usually get a combination of beef and chicken. That's all we've tried so far and I'm probably on my 10th duck noodles. They are addictive and reasonably priced.
Can’t tell you if the food is good because I just never got it. They called me telling me they don’t have anymore flat noodles for my order and they refused to cancel my uber order. They said I need to cancel the order from the app. Uber told me if I cancel myself I don’t get a refund, the restaurant needs to cancel it for me to get a refund because they can’t fulfill my order. I called them back and explained what uber said and she yelled at me saying it’s not her problem, it’s mine so I just hung up and disputed the charge on my AMEX. Wasn’t going to waste my time with someone yelling at me over $25.
Good luck with the service there I wouldn’t waste my time trying

We took a carry out for lunch, not worth the cost.
I’m not sure why this place has so many good reviews. I found the food to be overpriced and there to be quality issues. My curry came with such a small portion of actual ingredients and mostly sauce. The chicken tasted funny and I couldn’t eat any more after having the first few bites.
Will not return.
The last few times I ordered the foot quality wasn’t good. The chicken tastes old, the potatoes in my curry were undercooked. I also ordered the pad Thai and noodles were rubbery. I think I’ll just stop giving this place another chance…
One of the best Thai spots in NJ. My family and I have been coming here for years. Highly recommend going to Ricky’s Thai!
Was craving Thai for lunch today, never been to this location but I am working in the area. I ordered a Thai salad and Jurd Woon-Sen, the salad was so bland and was over priced and the soup was also bland and came with a small amount of veggies and 1 piece of chicken. I will not be coming back to this restaurant and do not recommend to anyone.
