Just went today and man it’s fantastic! Super
Friendly staff and even better ice cream!

The girls working were completely clueless about the products they offer. We had to show them multiple times what we were ordering from the menu. The older male was extremely rude. The ice cream was definitely nothing special. Definitely will not be returning.

Stopped in for the first time today and will not return. The person at the counter acted like we were an inconvenience. We ordered a small soft serve cup and a medium hard ice cream cup . There was no difference in the quantities and we were charged $10. The soft serve was very runny and had an artificial or chemical taste.

Best Ice Cream in Princeton: Super Sundaes - A Hidden Gem!

If you’re ever craving ice cream on a rainy Sunday night in the fall, Super Sundaes in Hillsboro, Princeton is the place to be! First impressions matter, and this spot shines with incredible hospitality. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with generous smiles and—what’s even better? Free ice cream samples! Unlike other famous ice cream shops in Princeton that have stopped offering samples (looking at you ?), Super Sundaes still lets you taste different flavors before deciding.

New ownership cannot keep track of orders! Unacceptable experience to show up the day of a special birthday and be told the cake isn’t ready. We had been coming here to Jane for the last ten years and the new owners completely ruined the experience. We called to confirm twice. Texted them twice. And yet they had no cake ready. Reading other recent reviews, sadly this has happened before.

I used to visit this place frequently during the Covid lockdown. To be honest, while the service was friendly at the time I did get sick 1-2x. Now, I went recently after a long hiatus. Wow, what happened. The man serving us was incredibly rude, unfriendly and acted as if we were bothering him. This is a business. We won’t go back.

I needed an Ice Cream cake in a hurry for my wife's birthday. I stopped at the closest local ice cream store to my home in Hillsborough and saw a freezer full of ice cream cakes. When I asked to purchase a cake, I was told that I couldn't have any of those and that I needed to order a cake at least 2 or 3 days in advance. I then went to the next closest place, Super Sundaes. This is an ice cream store that we used to go to very often when my children were young. I saw some cakes in a freezer and was also told that all of those were already sold as orders for other customers. The owner must have seen my frustration and disappointment because he asked when I needed the cake for. I told him for tonight, in about an hour or so. He went in the back of the store and pulled out a pre made ice cream cake that just needed to be decorated and told me to come back in an hour. This is called customer service. He saw that I had a need, and he took care of my problem. I could have easily just gone a little further to ShopRite where they always have Carvel cakes in their freezer, but this small business owner knows what needs to be done to stay in business, and to make and keep customers in a very competitive market. I highly recommend Super Sundaes, for going out of their way to satisfy a customer and recommend you try them and support small, local business that go the extra mile. Oh, and the cake was delicious.

Our experience here was not great. The girls who took our order didn’t know how to make it and ended up not doing it correctly. Other staff were extremely rude. We will not be getting ice cream here again.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Super Sundaes. I called a day before my birthday party to order a cake, specifying the urgency and the exact date I needed it by. They assured me it would be ready without any issues.

However, on the day of the party, the cake was nowhere to be ready it seemed like. When I called to inquire about it, they seemed confused and promised to call me back after checking with their cake decorator. No one bothered to get back to me. I had to call them down myself, only to be met with excuses about needing to contact their decorator.

The lack of communication and responsibility shown by this place is unacceptable, especially when dealing with a birthday celebration. They ruined what should have been a special occasion with their incompetence and lack of follow-through. I will not be recommending this place to anyone looking for reliable service or quality cakes.

Stumbled upon this place via google. The place inside wasn’t too inviting bc of the decor and lighting and upkeep but they makeup with it by having excellent service and fantastic ice cream! We got the caramel pretzel and omg what a fantastic flavor along with cookie dough and strawberry cheesecake. Even the waffle cone had a great taste to it! We savored every bite! Def a top ice cream spot for us in NJ now!

Had been a huge fan of Super Sundaes for years when Jayne was the owner. Thought we would try it under the new ownership and was sadly disappointed. The store lost its sparkle, selection was lacking, and they didn’t even fill the cone, only the top. It’s not allergy friendly like in the past, don’t waste your time. Won’t go back.

I was excited to find that Super Sundaes was purchased but disappointed to find what’s become of it. The store was a mess, the service was poor and unprofessional, and the product certainly wasn’t anything like what Jayne produced. Perhaps it was just an off day, but, I won’t be returning any time soon.

This business is apparently under new ownership and does not seem to be running like years past. I was scouting for Golden Cone 2024 and this place was recommended. One of the first criteria is that you serve home-made ice cream. This was not met, and in my better judgement should have left, but I really do love small business and want to always support them. I was told that homemade ice cream was too much work.Sadly, there was nothing super about my visit. $4 for a spoon serving of store bought ice cream. Maybe the soft serve could be a better choice. This place will do the trick on a hot summer day, but is not in any contention for any awards at this time. I will give them some time to get things in order before a return visit.
