I love Le Carre! Everything is made with the highest quality ingredients. You can taste the quality in every bite. The croissants are perfection. The crepes are out of this world and the pastries are divine. I haven't tasted a single thing that has not thrilled me, and my uncle was a French pastry chef! From the St. Honore- three choux pastry puffs drizzled with caramel and filled with diplomat cream, the Pistachio Hazelnut mousse, the Creme Brulee, strawberry eclairs, lemon meringue, the Rochette, my goodness, absolutely delicious! We've been working our way through the macarons, the Raspberry Macaron is bursting with fresh tangy raspberry flavor, the Rose Lychee is a perfect delicate balance with just the right amount of rose! Oh I could go on and on. I really enjoy the friendly casual atmosphere, not stuffy at all. They have excellent coffee and teas and I always leave very happy. Sometimes its full because they are such a success so I go and get my fix at slow times. Le Carre is a MUST! Warm, welcoming, not stuffy, high quality, truly well made pastries!

These pastries are BEYOND! There was some kind of mix-up with my daughter's order for Mother's Day however, the owner went above and beyond to make it right. His pastries are OUTRAGEOUSLY delicious and I make it a point to find the best croissants. His are the best I've had! The macaroons are spectacular also! A must try. Thank you for your kind service.

The only coffee shop near Park Ridge open before 8 am on Sunday! Pretty wild to me that only one is open that early, does anyone have kids that get up early? Lol. Anyway, the pastries are INSANE! Our favorites were… Pistachio eclair?! I know, tastes just as amazing as it sounds. We also tried the Nutella cube, which essentially was a square croissant with Nutella in the middle, delicious! Coffee was also delicious. Will definitely be back soon. They also have the option to order online.
The best addition to Hillsdale’s culinary scene. This is an authentic French Patisserie at its best where the care and talent of an expert pastry chef is evident and richly displayed. A special nod to Mary Beth whose charm and concern is much appreciated whenever I visit. Merci beaucoup!

Update 3/8/25: remembered to take a pic of the goods before gobbling this time :). The egg white spinach feta cheese crepe, nutella macaron, lavender macaron, pistachio eclair (MY FAVE SO GOOOOOD!) were all delish! Highly highly recommend this place! — A few people recommended this bakery so decided to check it out and oh my they had the best pistachio eclair I have ever tasted! We also tried the everything seasoning croissant, earl grey macaron and plain croissants and would go back to get all that again and to try the crepes.

Terrible service. If you want to be ignored while the staff chats with their friends, this place is for you. A messy work station set up in the middle of the café made the place look sloppy. Would not recommend.

Having been to Montreal over ten times the croissants here are the best I’ve ever had. Everything is delicious and you can taste the quality of the food. Since finding this wonderful establishment I refuse to have croissants anywhere else.
