Apulia stands out as a cherished gem among Hoboken's Italian eateries. Unlike the usual suspects with their hefty portions and oversized pizzas, Apulia offers a more authentic and intimate experience. Their pizzas are reminiscent of those enjoyed by locals in Italy, while their pasta portions are perfectly satisfying. Twirling fresh-made spaghetti feels akin to a scene from "Eat, Pray, Love," evoking a sense of simple yet profound culinary delight. The staff exudes warmth and familiarity, greeting regulars with hugs and smiles. The manager's passion for Italian cuisine is palpable, reflected in his eagerness to share family recipes and craft special dishes that showcase his culinary talent. The ambiance is relaxed and inviting, with just the right touch of Italian flair—think Ferrari decor and nods to the Italian Grand Prix blended with a hint of Rolling Stone rock.Whether you're in the mood to groove to great music while indulging in ravoli or simply unwind with a classic Negroni or a fine Italian wine, Apulia has you covered. And if you happen to find yourself admiring the handsome bartenders, well, consider it an added bonus to an already delightful experience.

I think food was pretty average for the price. Definitely great service and ambience but there are other places around which offer better food, in my opinion.

While the ambiance promises an upscale environment, it seems it's the only thing this pizza restaurant has going for it as I was not happy with the quality of food. For an $18 "large" pizza, which surprisingly is only 12 inches, the value just isn't there. The crust might be the only good part in an otherwise disappointing pizza. The rest of the pizza was a letdown being thin, floppy, and cold when I had it after doing a 3 minute walk after ordering takeout. Equally underwhelming were the small meatballs, they seemed more like something you'd expect from a frozen section at Trader Joe's rather than the upscale restaurant Apulia claims to be. The sauce and meatballs were both underseasoned and "squishy" (I'm not sure how else to describe it, just not right). It's clear that the upscale and nicely designed interior is a significant part of what you're paying for. Apulia stands as a prime example of a dining experience where the quality does not match the price, and there are better options for Pizza and for Italian food in general in Hoboken.

Best pizza spot in town. Worth traveling out of your way for. Pasta is also out of this world . Fresh ingredients and owner is a hunk.

I was not able to try the pizza, and I am glad I didn’t because from the moment I arrived with a group of out of town friends we were met with rudeness and disdain. It was embarrassing and totally unnecessary to be so rude. We found a spot right around the block called Local Coal, they had a great attitude, nice service and the pizza was amazing. For an area such as Hoboken, were good quality pizza is a staple, this place’s attitude is ridiculous. There’s nothing special in their setup or menu that justifies this arrogance, specifically towards new customers.

Awesome Italian pizza. The cocktails were amazing. Parking is complicated and pricey (20$) for two hours but this is Hoboken.
Been here about 4 times. Sometimes just for wine. They have a great vibe, absolutely excellent pizza, pasta is also outstanding.Every server we talked to was very helpful, actually knew their job, the wine and the food.Great spot.
